Visited with a group of four, great food, clean rooms and friendly service, felt that they would have gone the extra mile if needed, one of the group had a stomach problem and couldn't eat much, staff were prepared to make anything on or off the menu which I thought was a nice touch. Would definitely use this hotel again

Comfortable room. Delicious meal in pleasant bar - including outstanding Bakewell tart! Breakfast good but served in a cramped area. Plenty of parking. Very friendly, welcoming staff - as a solo traveller I felt well looked after.

A spare rib challenge for our Grandson age 11. Like his Grandad he loves spare ribs. So we took him for half a rack. He said they were the best he'd ever had. Unfortunately he couldn't manage all of them. Grandad ate all his full rack as always. Lovely surroundings friendly staff. Will be back again.

Wanted an overnight stop so that we could have a full day in the Peaks and not have the hassle of travelling on the day. Lovely welcome, all the staff were very nice. Small bar area, as they serve meals there tables were reserved, but there is a spacious outdoor area for seating which was okay as the weather was...

The lady behind the bar was warm and friendly when we arrived, the pub had a lovely country feel about the place. I had the lamb rump which was cooked really well with minted crush potatoes which...

We booked a Deluxe Superior Double Room, it was spacious but not a welcoming room, a strange, pretend 4 poster bed frame with no drapes. The mattress was ok, bit firm, but the pillows a little too firm. Nicely finished bathroom, however the shower over the bath was very poor, took ages to become warm and barely a trickle of...

We stayed here in a ground floor room overlooking the outdoor seating area, noisy at night. How were your hosts? The reception was welcoming and all the staff we met during our stay were helpful and friendly. How was your room? The room was in dire need of updating and maintenance. The bathroom floor was sticky and the plastic shower...
