We had a family gathering here for a special birthday and several of us stayed overnight in the very comfortable rooms afterwards. Food was delicious and the staff, as ALWAYS, could not have been more helpful. Strongly recommend this lovely country pub which offers so much including one of the best views in Derbyshire!

I haven't stayed here, but have had lunch several times. The stand-out feature is the wonderful view from the restaurant. Lathkill Dale is a famously beautiful area of the Peak District, and walkers make their way up the hill to eat and drink at this old-fashioned pub restaurant. Food is laid out as a buffet, so that you can see...

We stayed here for one night in September and really enjoyed our stay. Small hotel/restaurant/pub with just a handful of rooms. Room was well equipped and clean. Breakfast was excellent with an amazing view of the dales. Staff friendly. Can recommend.

Stayed one night in August 2016. Welcoming and great food. Would definitely recommend a stay here. It's is small with only 4 rooms but this didn't detract from the experience. A stones throw from chatsworth and Bakewell. The views are amazing and a great selection of beer too. Faultless!

On our recent visit to Derbyshire, we stopped by the Lathkil Hotel after a soggy walk in the peak district. Even though it was after lunch, the friendly server made us some delicious sandwiches to go along with our local beer.

The pub is small but has a warm welcome! Food available at lunchtime looked very nice. We ate in the restaurant in the evening for a family celebration. The food was well above usual pub food standard. The menu choice, presentation of the food and even the service was brilliant. We didn't feel rushed. There's a good choice of drinks...

A nice village location with fantastic views over the Lathkil Dale. A good selection of beers and the food was very good (although the menu could do with being expanded a bit). Ideal for country walks and very good that it is dog friendly.

Having spent a lovely 4 days with a good friend in beautiful Derbyshire he insisted that he should treat us to a meal at the Lathkil before we left the next day to drive down to Dorset. We could not refuse! The drive to the hotel from Wensley is a scenic delight and the views across rolling countryside from the...

My husband and I visited the Lathkil Hotel for just one night while in Derbyshire. I booked it on Expedia and wasn't really sure what it would be like when we arrived. I must admit I was a little skeptical when we pulled up because it was much smaller than I thought and looked quite old. I was pleasantly surprised...

Definatelly worth visiting the Lathkil hotel for a meal. It's extremely high quality food that you can eat inside or out, looking out over beautiful Lathkildale. It's also extremely good value. Main courses are under £10 and are delicious. The puddings are amazing and varied. The staff are friendly and helpful. The surrounding walks are stunning. Walkers are welcome and...
