We stayed in a B & B room full of character. The owners and staff are great and picked us up from the local station, which although not far it is up a very steep hill. The chef is fab and always has a smile and time to share his wealth of knowledge of the area, not to mention the...

Located near the end of Caminito Del Ray the Olive Branch offers a warm welcome, an relaxed atmosphere. The hosts were very welcoming and gave great advice about local places to visit. The room was basic, but great value, and very clean. Only downside is you need to be a mountain goat to get there, but it's worth it!

Wether you come to El Churro by foot, bike, car, motorcycle, climbing or bus/train you will find something of your liking at the Olive Branch. Owners and staff welcome you and offer their hospitality, a wide selection of snacks and drinks, a communal living room and kitchen where you can sign up for the chef's dinner if you like (...

Lived in tents to go climb El Chorro. It serves great as a climbers hostel. The staff is friendly and helpful and the place is not overrun with people. The kitchen even cooked dinner and made lunch packs for the climbers.

I was with a large university group at the olive branch staying in the bunkhouse. Despite being with a large group the staff treated us as individuals and welcomed us with the same warmth I would expect as a solo traveller! As a vegetarian the food was some of the best and most varied vegetarian food I've had, and made...

Myself and my wife stayed for four days in early April and had a fabulous break. We traveled from Dublin. Gary and Mel were great hosts and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The food was great which can include an evening meal. We had a roast beef dinner one evening which was as good as you would get...

Lovely place under the climbing crags and not too far from El Chorro. Veggie restaurant nearby but Olive Branch also serves wholesome meals. Cannot recommend the moussaka though. Camping on site and you can hire a tent. Just a great atmosphere and the owners are very welcoming too!

For a place to stay whilst climbing I cannot fault the Olive Branch. The hosts Gary & Mel are extremely friendly as are all their staff. The whole place is clean, functional and has a relaxed nice atmosphere. Simon was the chef at the kitchen during our visit and the food was outstanding!

This was our second family visit to the Olive Branch at El Chorro. Our children are 10 and 12. Once again, Mel and Gary were wonderful and caring hosts. They go out of their way to make you feel at home. The family room is great for 2 adults and 2 children. The atmosphere us relaxed. The home cooked food,...

Our second time staying at The Olive Branch. Mel, Gary and all the volunteer staff do an amazing job. Fabulous location for some great climbing. Great chefs making very hearty meals at a reasonable price. We'll be back next year. X
