There are four bungalows, two with twin bead whilst the other two bungalows are double bed. Clean and the bath rooms are spacious enough with running water. No electricity but solar power only. To get your gadget charged, ask at the restaurant for Harris - the owner will turn on the generator set for about two hours running time. I got dinner and breakfast here. They are good and enough for everyone. The two double bed bungalows are close to the neighbours house. You can hear someone talking but I am not feel disturbed. The narrow straight just in front of the bungalow has clean water and I managed to bath in the morning. To swim, I think you have to think twice as the current is quite strong especially during the low tide.

We stayed one week at Marangki bungalows and had a lot of fun. Bungalows are simple and modest, but clean and comfortable. The absolute best part of the bungalow is probably the view from the balcony, as it gives directly on the sea. The food was also really good, however you must like fish because it’s what’s on the menu most of the days. Harris, the owner, was really kind and helpful and always made sure that we had everything we needed. He also took a bit of time everyday to be our very own Bahasa Indonesian teacher. The property is on a little island, which is incredibly beautiful. However, it makes it slightly difficult to go out at night (although you don’t miss anything because there’s no nightlife in Alor Kecil). Oh, and you must be confortable to hang out with chickens, goats and ducks as you always have some animals hanging out around! In short, we clearly recommend this place if you want a quiet place to relax and enjoy the island life.

An absolute gem we were lucky enough to stumble upon and the only place I would stay on my next journey to Alor. This four bungalow resort on small kep island is perfect for an affordable, serene getaway. Harris the owner keeps a spotlessly clean place, stoked with great food. Beyond the jaw dropping scenery (both above and below the water... there is world class snorkeling right in front of the resort and a ten minute walk takes you to a perfect empty trashless white sand beach, Harris is a one of a kind host. He so supremely attentive to your needs and when our group got into a major bind not having anywhere to stay, he tirelessly searched all of Alor to find us a hotel room. He goes above and beyond for his guests. Truly special place worth every penny.

Only 4 bungalows, very simple with an amazing cuisine and a wonderful manager. Harry is very kind and you can have a lot of discussion with him. If you want to be relaxed, without electricity and be outside the civil world is the perfect place.
