Staying in Sledmere for a long weekend as a party of six. Called in on a Thursday evening by chance. Staff were friendly, helpful and professional. Service, presentation and food excellent. Portions are massive. Booked for following Saturday and again had a perfect evening. Well done to all the staff. Definitely recommend to anyone

This place oozes character, and is very authentic, unlike some themed pubs that are around. The staff are welcoming and very friendly. The food is average, but well cooked and plentiful. We have only been on a Sunday, when the menu on the website is not available, they only serve the classic Sunday lunch. There is a choice- beef, pork/gammon...

After a morning walking in the grounds of Sledmere House we called in for lunch. A very welcoming hostelry with a real fire in the grate. We ordered from a the set menu. My wife chose the Pea and asparagus rissotto which had a beautifull creamy texture and a generous portion of parmesan shavings. My grandson opted for ham and...

Quick confession before we start. Although I have no links with the current owners, this pub was once run by my great Grandfather so I suppose I might have a slight soft spot for it. That said, no bias was required to be very impressed with it in its current incarnation. I have actually stayed at the Triton for four...

Booked a meal at The Triton to celebrate a family birthday. Everything was absolutely excellent. Welcoming staff, warm surroundings, fantastic beer. And as for the food....well totally delicious. Every single one of our party said it was one of the nicest meals out ever. The service was brilliant. The quality was top notch, and I would happily recommend this pub...

Just been for lovely walk around Sledmere and was looking forward to a finishing pint when we happened upon the only pub in the village. Great pub pity about the bar staff (only one of them to complain about), There were around ten of us and the only topic of conversation was could this woman be any ruder. If its...

Had a fabulous night here for our wedding anniversary 10th Sept 2016; the food is great, and you certainly get a plate full, no chance of going home hungry! The room was really nice and breakfast was out of this world, no shortage of anything. Service, staff and accommodation 10 out of 10. Definitely recommend a visit. Thanks for a...
