A small bar and quite nice restaurant with good food if limited choice. Breakfast very limited a good fry up, 3 basic cereals but no fruit, cheeses, yogurt, oh and a dodgy toaster.
West Cornwall is a bit special and if you just want to stay a night this will be ok just too expensive for what is offered.

We decided to use the pool before going out the gents changing room had no lockers with keys and the pool was very gritty on returning to the changing rooms which was dirty floor very unclean and full of decorating materials paint and ladders the showers all ran cold so quick run back to the room to shower.
The breakfast and staff friendliness the following day made up for the first day - best breakfast I have eaten local fresh produce and the young lad whom served us was exemplary. Great location and could easily attract 5 stars if the web site told visitors that building works were being undertaken and cleanliness addressed especially in communal areas changing rooms pool etc
I didn’t let these minor oversights spoil my stay and was glad the breakfast made up for the aforementioned issues.

Breakfast was average, bacon overcooked, all eggs had pepper on them, buffet style only.
Very narrow road to enter but that is true of most of this area.

The breakfast was OK.
I think the name change is appropriate, this is a club definitely not the establishment it once was.
The young girl at check-in was extremely helpful however, our £130 per night stay can at best be described as disappointing.
The bathroom in the chalet smelt of mould and damp which effected the bedroom to a point we had to sit with the front door open and sleep with the window wide open. Having raised this with the receptionist she explained it was an issue with the water supplier, she did pour detergent down the drains which helped temporarily, the smell returned overnight.
The stay was disappointing but we put it down to experience until we arrived for breakfast at 8:50am. Here we found that there was little cooked breakfast left and what was presented was either cold, luke warm or congealed.
Having g mentioned the above at checkout we were given the email of the owner to detail our findings which we did however, we received no response.

To be informed that the sauna and pool are down, with no notice. We were informed prior to arrival that the kitchen was down so we planned accordingly, Amelia was so helpful in bringing us what we needed to have our dinner. Next the WiFi was not working in any of the rooms, we tried all different ways of connecting but no luck, this was a real inconvenience because there was no signal either so we kept coming up to be able to look at the map to plan our route for tomorrows 20 mile walk.
Amelia refunded us 20£ and said talk to Steve in the morning.
I’ve spoken to Steve who has claimed we had a voicemail informing us about the pool/sauna closure, we have looked and have simply not.
I mentioned the WiFi too, but he repeated interrupted with ‘not my problem’, it was shocking customer service, I just felt attacked.
At least there is breakfast to look forward to…
pathetic see in photo below
What’s more I didn’t sleep a wink because the paper thin walls.
Honestly it’s just been utterly miserable.
Obviously if we had been properly informed, we would have stayed somewhere else. What we have paid for this calamity is disgraceful.
I’m appalled as you can probably understand, as it’s our holiday.
I’m going to write review on every platform or am happy to sort something out.
The room was a bit strange. Wasn’t particularly clean and no toiletries. No plug next to kettle so had to move it. Also a bright green light on the ceiling was on all night. Soundproofing was terrible, could hear our neighbours well into the early hours.
The dinner which was vegan and a special event was average at best. Can’t really pinpoint anything which was enjoyable or memorable which for £50 per person was a shame.
Breakfast was ok. The vegetarian sausages contained mashed up veg and poached egg undercooked and wet.
We were debating a swim but the overpowering smell of chlorine from the pool put us off.
Overall could have done a lot better.
I paid nearly £500 for 2 nights here, got to the room it had a double bed nothing for the kids to sleep on, late in the night they decided to put 2 small fold out camp beds which just about accommodated my 11yr old and my 17yr old looked like something from a cartoon with his legs hanging over the edge, plus they took up all the room so we had to play the maze game to get to the bathroom. The windows had cobwebs, the bathroom dirt around the the toilet edge and floor (we cleaned all this ourselves).
The starters came out in drips and drabs and we waited over 40 mins for our main courses which where wrong even though we pre ordered and while we waited there was no bread or water on the tables, the steak burger was a very small beef burger and the chicken burger looked like something from Coops freezer range, but the pork chop did looked and tasted OK.
This place is more than likely OK if you came here’s as a couple but for a party I would avoid it, if It wasn’t for the fact it was a wedding I was attending I would have complained and if nothing was done I would have left without paying and found somewhere else for nearly £500 for 2 nights.
Breakfast was mediocre with burnt toast no butter and missing items for a full english. I would not recommend this place and will not to be going back. There are plenty of stunning air bnbs around this area which I would rather stay at

Good points. The breakfasts were very nice. Recommend the full Cornish or the pancakes really enjoyable. The staff are friendly on arrival and throughout.
The room was spacious and clean. Yes, there are damp spots and flaking paint, but it didn't interfere with our stay.
