It is a quiet resort and very convenient for visiting the ruins at Palenque and probably a better option than staying in town but I did not look at other hotels. The rooms are spacious with good aircon and TVs with some English speaking channels. The Wifi is only in the public spaces and the bar and restaurant are set...

We spent a week at Chan-Kah and found it to be the perfect place to relax amidst natural tropical beauty, the tranquility of the well-kept gardens, pools and grounds and of course priceless adventures with kindly jungle animals. The first day we got to see/hear a howler monkey, which was soon followed by encounters with agutis, huge iguanas, etc. The...

We were traveling with my father celebrating his 80th birthday, it was an excellent choice. My husband and I got the closeness with the jungle that we like so much, with great privacy. My son got a great swimming pool and good snacks. My father go a comfortable, accesible room. The distance to the ruins is unbeatable. The location is...

This is a large resort-style hotel and not the kind of place we'd normally stay. It was, however, virtually empty when we visited. We had a huge suite with A/C and ceiling fans. Very comfortable and clean. A problem with a non-flushing toilet was very quickly fixed. It is close to the Palenque ruins and outside the town, which looked...

Having been in Palenque only once I don't know other hotels but I can definitelly say I would go back to Chan-Kah not only for the experience we've had but also for the feedback from friends who stayed at other alternatives in Palenque. The location is great because it is outside of the city and on the road which you...

We stayed in a jungle view casita (#10) for 3 nights and it was perfect for us. Very clean and decent firm beds. It was great to sit out on the porch and watch the iguanas go up and down the tree trunks. Also had 4 howler monkeys hanging around one evening. I would recommend this hotel if you're not...

Good facilities, although rooms seem a bit basic but comfortable. Requests on my reservation through Booking.com were ignored but readily corrected when complained (maybe worth checking with the hotel beforehand). Great environment, good location for visiting Palenque (if you are in a car, mdway between the town and the ruins), great restaurant with good service and food. A big but...

The hotel is surrounded from a deep vegetation and give a "jungle feeling". The terrific pool is super to chill out after visiting ruins or after a trip to Agua Azules. Do not expect real luxury, but keep in mind that you are in a region far from a big town. The room was clean, big, with aircon and a...

This place is massive and the pools are massive. You almost felt that you had ended up in a summer camp. The staff was extremely unfriendly and unhelpful. We never saw a smile from the front desk people and when I asked a member of staff if they ever smiled i was told that they only do so when they...

Came down from San Cristobal on a tour (Misol-ha, aqua azul, and Palenque (all are must see). Resort is between Palenque town (Santo Domingo) and the ruins so I had tour driver drop us off after the sight seeing. The grounds are very nice but older and showing age. Located right in the jungle, the insects (gritos) at night are...
