This note is in addition to the original note I wrote about our experience- I wanted to attach some pictures of the hotel although it was the service of the people that made it a trip that we will not forget!

My husband, sister and I were traveling with a medical/mission team in Somoto Nicaragua January 16-20. My husband and I had been to Somoto before, but in a different hotel. This was my sister's first trip to Nicaragua. We drove from Managua to Somoto on Monday, Jan 16. When we arrived at the hotel, I laid down with a headache....

We were here for 4 days on a mission trip and loved it. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My sister-in-law and I got sick from eating something outside of town and the staff was very accommodating and checked on us frequently. They even cleaned our rooms to within an inch of it's life, which made my wife and...

My husband and I stayed at this place for one night while we were in Somoto. It is a very quick and easy place to stay. There is wifi and tv and they offer food if you want it. It was very clean and quiet. Although there is no air conditioning, it was stil cool enough in the room, almost...

I stayed here with a number of students and it was excellent in many ways. The rooms were small but clean, all had fans and bathrooms, the eating area was fine, we used their kitchen area, bowls and washing lines... but most of all the owners and staff were pleasant and helpful all times. I ended up staying here for...

Based on reviews our group stayed at the hotel Rosario for a Rotary Mission trip. The accommodations were adequate, the home cooked breakfast was excellent, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and help.

This is a fantastic place to stay in Somoto. They have clean rooms, clean bathrooms and outdoor seating area. They offer breakfast in the morning which is nice fresh fruit, eggs and avocado wraps. They offer rooms with A/C but they cost at least US$10 more than a room with just a fan. The lady who runs the front desk...

The place is ok. The rooms windows are very small, therefore they get very hot inside. Windows lack of screens, so expect the possibility of becoming sick of Sika, Dengue and Chikungunya, since these are the three most common illnesses in Somoto. Now, for more money you can get AC, instead of a fan, but the price is nearly as...

We stayed two nights in hotel El Rosario. The room is basic, but you have everything you need. Outside the room there is a nice patio to relax. Breakfast was abundant and cheap. Price/quality ratio this is a great deal. The woman who is responsible for the hotel is very friendly and through her we arranged a visit to the...

The hotel is a perfect place to stay in Somoto and therefore the best house in town. The personnel is very friendly and helpful in all matters. The patio is a wonderful place to stay and rest and the breakfeast is served in one of the oldest houses in Somoto by very kind señoras. The hotel is helpful as well...

“He has rooms on a second floor addition - if you are a light sleeper, you might want to request those. He gets people coming into the hotel late into the evening. Traveling business people coming up from Managua or other areas arrive late into the evening. Lower rooms, your hear them enter.”
