It was my first time to stayed 2 nights with Movenpick khao yai. Quick check-in and check out process which is appreciated. The glory of the resort is the location, well planted and maintained (can imagine lot of work for gardeners). Sleeping quality of the room is quite comfortable housekeeping team do their job perfectly as I requested for extra bottle of water which was delivered with in a few minutes.
We usually prefer breakfast in open area and the terrace is the best option for having morning breakfast. Service staff was very attentive, We interacted with few service staff like K. Noon, K. Yew they both are under K. Tor (restaurant manager) leadership which is on very professional hands and the Ex- chef is very attentive too always have a eye contact with the sweet smile on his face (under the mask). We have a great breakfast time in both morning my daughter likes the kids corner as well.
Great place to stay and thank you for your kind hospitality.

Was initially hesitant to stay here after reading some reviews but this was the only choice for die hard Accor fans. However, no regrets choosing Movenpick and will definitely return on my next holiday to Khao Yai.

Welcome experience was amazing. Starts with a very quick complimentary rapid covid test that took no more than 5 mins at the main gate which was reassuring and appreciated. Good to know the management prioritises safety for everyone at the resort. The drive from the main gate to the lobby was so scenic and surreal. Not sure why other guests are complaining when it is good for everybody.

Efficient check in and was personally greeted by Mr Benoit on a Sunday afternoon. Everyone we met at the reception, restaurants and housekeepers were attentive and welcoming.

The Ozone suite was HUGE and views overlooking the lawn and mountains in the distance were stunning. Wide variety of dishes for both breakfast and dinner at the restaurant.

The resort is located amidst a golf course surrounded by the Khao Yai range. The setting is extremely scenic & beautiful. We stayed in a two-bedroom pool villa. The villas had very spacious living and bed rooms and a well equipped kitchen. The pool is set amidst a neatly trimmed rolling lawn overlooking the hills, which makes it all the more enjoyable to spend the day out there.

There were some minor issues like hot water not running in one of bathrooms - leading us to sequester our baths to one of the bathrooms only. Apart from that a few squeaky doors etc. but nothing major.

The breakfast spread was definitely something to write home about and one of the best I've seen in recent times (and we travel a lot).

If you're travelling with kids, the animal farm is an added bonus.

Great concept and location very poorly executed and managed. We rented a 3-bedroom villa for a long weekend getaway based on the wonderful photos and descriptions. We planned since we are 7 people and all good cooks to cook in the Villa, as it does have a kitchen and that is what a kitchen is for.

We thought it would be good to understand what kitchen gear is provided, so we called the resort a few days before traveling. We asked about the kitchen gear supplied and were told that nothing is provided and that we should be eating at the resort restaurants. Huh? Why rent a villa if you do not want to use the kitchen? So we load up kits hen gear from home to bring along. On arrival, we find that the basic kitchen supplies are completely lacking for a 3-bedroom villa being sold for 6 people:
1) Only 4 forks in the Villa
2) Only 4 wine glasses
3) Only 5 normal glasses
4) Only 5 plates
6) No bowls
7) No dish towels
8) Capsule coffee machine is suppled with only 6 capsules of which 2 of them are de-caffeinated. Huh? So only 4 people get caffeinated coffee, and only one cup?

In addition, management has never been in these villas, the build quality is poor and has never been properly checked: Plastic packaging covering is still on the stainless shower hinges, glass production stickers are still on the shower glass, kitchen sink drain leaks out onto the kitchen floor and the shower drain was stuffed up with hair from previous guests. There is clearly no quality assurance standards in place or staff checklist to work from, the staff has not been trained to properly clean and maintain the residence.

I have read through the previous reviews, these issues are not new, it has been raised before. We discuss with the front counter staff and were extremely rudely chastised that we should be eating in the restaurants and not in the Villa once again. Oh, you mean the two restaurants at the Movenpick that have the lowest ratings in the whole Khao Yai area? In addition, in response to past reviews Suthee SITHOOMCHAN the Guest Experience Manager replies and says that and they will update and improve, however, it is clear that is just a packaged and automated response.

For a great concept, location and venue some improvement in management could really make it great. Sorry to say, we will not be coming back nor have anything good to say about how it is run.

As I mentioned in the title, the location of this property is awful. It is nowhere near any of the Khao Yai attractions.

We did enjoy golf at the resort (the main reason I booked) but that was about all it has to offer. The pool is fairly basic and the bar is currently closed. The one restaurant that is currently open on resort is okay but a bit bland.

The rooms feel relatively cheap, albeit clean. I certainly wouldn’t say this is a luxury property. It’s trying with the aesthetic but it just feels like an empty shell inside.

Probably my favourite part of this hotel is that it’s pretty much impossible to leave unless you have a car or pre arranged transport (and I mean like transport you’ve arranged days in advance). The front desk seem to have no idea how to order a taxi.

On the note of the front desk, I tried to call in a laundry pick up service that they offer and they literally just hung up on me because they were confused.

Basically, this resort feels like a prison if you don’t have a car. Avoid at all costs if you aren’t doing a driving tour of Thailand. Even then it’s about 45 minutes to drive anywhere notable in Khao Yai.

This property has well manicured gardens and surroundings and I am impressed at how they keep everything impeccable! Kudos to the team for a great job.

We were spoiled. We got the best room with the most wonderful view of the golf course, the mountains and the villas in the horizon.

Breakfast is generous with a wide selection of Fruits, salads, bread and pastries, cheese and Asian menu such as rice, soups, congee and noodles. I personally love that the bacon is crispy and cooked how it is supposed to be. They even have a corner dedicated for kids. It’s a great option for vegans, vegetarians too as they also have an organic farm on site and use fresh produce for the meals.

Lunch and dinner at the flavors restaurant is amazing.
Eat al fresco so you can enjoy the view and the fresh air. The “my ozone” mint and peach and lychee drinks were amazing. I have my eye on the massaman lamb curry. Thai dishes are good, I asked for not spicy and it’s perfect! The sea bass was one of my favorites too.

We also had experienced a beautiful dinner under the stars with live music and campfire. It’s a “sabai- sabai” concept with food being prepared at a grilling station and being brought to your picnic mats and tents. There’s thai food and French fries, beers, cocktails, burgers… It was a romantic, chill night. Exactly what we wanted.

We didn’t leave the property at all. There are a lot of interesting things to do, apart from golf and walking around the main “castle” and surrounding gardens.

We played pétanque and ate ice cream at the castleton cafe.

We fed the rabbits, deers, lambs and goats at the animal club. They have chickens, pigs and horses too.

We did ATV around the property- my first time driving one myself as I have always been afraid but I quite enjoyed myself!

There is also a beautiful indoor and outdoor pool decorated with chandeliers.

They have bikes for adults and kids if you want to work out and go around the property.

I had no time to check out the spa but it seems regally splendid offering health checks and bionic scans too.

Thanks to Benoit and his wonderful team who personally ensured that we “enjoy the moment” and spoiled us from when we arrived up until we checked out. He is by far one of the most attentive and omnipresent GM I have ever observed in action.

We also had Tim welcome us and sign us up for Accor plus, making sure we get the best deals and get value for money! It was a pleasure feeling your hospitality through your attentiveness and kind words.

Due to this wonderful experience, we left the hotel drawing up plans when to come back.

I cannot express how absolutely overjoyed we are in our stay at this beautiful property. We didn’t just go to spend a day at a beautiful property, we truly found a place to rest, breath and relax.

Movenpick Resort Khao Yai is idyllic in so many ways. Beautiful buildings, rooms and grounds make for a unique setting and atmosphere. Lovely views from the room balconies, a well manicured links course and sizable swimming and exercise make for a really nice getaway place. It is 5 star so expect to pay for it.

But as great as the resort is, it needs some more tweaking. The restaurant is ordinary at best. We had one meal there, and didn't return. For breakfast only a full buffet is available so if you don't feel like stuffing yourself until you can't move, it's not a good alternative. Need a better chef in my opinion.

Mis-leading advertising about being a sustainable hotel. Two examples. The room AC has no vacancy controls. Leave iy on all day, whether you are there are not, is fine with Movenpick apparently. The normal key card only shuts off lighting. Second is they supply plastic water bottles in the rooms. How can you promote yourself as an Accor "Planet 21" hotel and not do the basics??

Before retiring each evening I would spend several minutes placing various obstacles, bags, tent cards, whatever I could find in front of the multi-colored equipment lights that lit the room like a holiday tree. Blinking white lights on the Wifi router, the normal red light on the TV, green lights on a USB power plug all topped off by blue lights glowing from the light switch. Bring your eye shades are be prepared for sleeping inside a decoration...

This was my first time staying at Mövenpick Resort Khao Yai. All the resort atmosphere made me definitely impressed by the castle style building, panoramic view of valley and of course, the fresh air especially during this winter. All the fatigue was gone once I stepped into the resort.

As there was a technical problem with my suite, I was moved to their pool villa without wasting time. Thanks to all nice front office team for their kind decision and their best arrangement.

The pool villa is located at the another area of the main building. It's a lot more private, no more crowded people. I totally loved the villa layout, high ceiling living area, 2 bedrooms with separate toilet and full functional kitchen.

Unfortunately, there were a group of dogs lived around my villa. They always slept on the backyard and sometime they got in around the pool area. Especially they kept bark in the early morning, 5:30 A.M. to wake me up to do the morning jogging around the village during sunrise. Don't worry, it was OK for me but it might not be OK for others.

Finally, I was very happy with my vacation there. Thanks the hotel to made my 1 night stay memorable. I got all my benefits according to my status of Accor Live Limitless member without any objections. Honestly I cannot wait for my next staying at Mövenpick Resort Khao Yai.

Stayed at the 3 bedroom villa for 3 nights with my family at Movenpick Khao Yai. Overall, the property was beautiful and we'll maintained. The villa has its own parking garage which is convenient but it's a bit far from the main lobby/ restaurant so needed to call for a buggy for breakfast and facilities so it's a bit troublesome.

The view from the villa is not as nice as the rooms from the main property. The villa itself was quite nice with a living room, dining room and a small pantry but no cooking utensils were provided even though there is a cooker. No washer n dryer provided. There is no bathtub as well which was a bit disappointing as my kids were looking forward to it. The housekeeping can be improved as the floor feels dusty throughout our stay there. I also killed a couple of small cockroaches in one of the bathroom.

Breakfast was decent with a nice mountain view but after 3 days of similar spread, it does get a bit boring. Water in Swimming pool was cold as the weather was cooling in the mornings and nights. The small animal farm could be better maintained. In conclusion, this hotel has the potential to become the magical castle retreat that one expects with it's great views and European inspired architecture but there are areas of improvements that the management can look into.
