Booked one of the Cabinas on the top of the hill. The room itself is fine, however there are many annoying experiences: - The room has no airco which is annoying as it's a damp environment, so your clothes will not dry at all. - The shower has cold (luke-warm for maybe 60 seconds) water. The staff confirmed it would not get any warmer - The showerhead and connecting hose had mold on it. - The restaurant closed at 5pm, which was annoying because we arrived at 4.45pm. - The road to the cabana has no path, so you are walking through mud and wet grass to get to your room. - There is no lighting, so you need to bring a flashlight to get to your room. - There are no shops open nearby (supermarkets). - The road around the hotel has no lighting, and it's a curvy road. You cannot get anywhere without a car.

It was a little confusing to find, because the office is almost camouflaged off to the side of a restaurant and the door wasn't open so we had difficulty figuring out where to check in. The room was clean, but everything just felt damp. This might be a common issue since it's the rainy season, but I had a hard time adjusting to the fact that the bed just felt... damp! It also smelled a little musty like it needed to be aired. But a huge plus is that it is literally right next to the parking for Tenorio Volcano national park, so we didn't have to worry about rushing in the morning. The staff were also very friendly, so no complaints there.
