Participated in a ladies fishing weekend that was put on by the River City Wildlife Federation. This amazing facility was the host to the event. Hands down the best experience ever.
The guides for fishing were very good with 2 boats full of ladies. We kept them working as they found us some very active honey spots. Helpful, engaged and knowledgeable. They also made us an amazing shore lunch with our catches from the day.
The accommodations were at the old lodge and were phenomenal. 4 full bathrooms accommodated 12 ladies very well. Full kitchen with a deep freeze and 2 full fridges, fabulous dining room, living room and private fire pit. Too many bedrooms to count.
Restaurant food was absolutely phenomenal and huge portions. All the staff were very engaged from the food service, to the manager, to the front desk staff, to the guides, pleasant interaction with each one of them every time we seen them, They would take time to check in and be fully engaged in conversations with us as we quizzed them about the local area.
I have never felt so catered too with this event and this host location.
10/10 recommend Thompson’s Resort!!

It was so quiet and relaxing as it was the end of the season and there were fewer guests. Our room had a wonderful view of the lake with the trees changing to their fall colours. Fishing was a little slow but finally started catching more toward the end of the second day. The restaurant was good and staff very courteous although they were out of a couple of things due to closing the day we were leaving. The rooms were comfortable and fairly well equipped but the beds were a bit hard for me. I would suggest they add Kleenex, paper towels, and a paring knife. A beautiful area to visit. I would definitely go again.

Great stay at at the Lakeshore Suites. 2 days of guided fishing with Stanley with tours of the falls and surrounding area was well worth it. Beautiful country and unreal scenery. Lakeshore suites were great. Restaurant manager Jason was great and food, beer, and views were outstanding. Just go.

We had an extended family trip planned and Thompson’s team worked with me to find the right accommodation for our group and schedule. The cabins offered all of us a great sleep and plenty of space and amenities to prepare meals and eat together.
We also loved the restaurant and were impressed with the menu and food, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Nice to have local beers on tap.
Easy boat docking and fishing in Otter Lake. We caught enough for our dinner and our limit to take home.
The standout feature of Thompson’s Resort is the staff: extremely helpful, friendly, and professional. Thanks to Mark, Donna, and the whole team for giving us world-class service with personal attention to detail that made our stay unforgettable in the best possible way.

Hi. We have been coming to Thompson's for close to 20 years and overall we are very happy here. Honestly though This year it seemed a bit off. The deck hands weren't around in the evening to give us a hand as they always have been before. Also We had asked the deck hands in the morning, which they were very helpful, for any fishing spots tips and they said they cant say as they have their own guided people to service, not realizing the amount of money I spend there every year is equally or more important. One of our boat's died one day and we towed ourselves back in, which sometimes things can happen I understand. Thompson's did give us a credit for the one boat for the day which was great, but overall the motors did seem under powered or definitely not new as we normally had other years. Lastly I understand sometimes a price increase is necessary... but Thompson's are now wanting to charge us with 8 people in our family for 2022 - $760 a night for the Back Bay Cabin. This is $260 MORE then in 2021 rates. This is extremely high in comparison to other lodges in Sask with comparable services. I would like a call back from the manager as I would agree to rate increase but a 50% one. These days with a large family its getting hard to afford and justify a $3000 - $4000 fishing trip for a couple of days
Thanks

Thompsons is a fairly easy drive from Saskatoon with decent roads maintained all the way up to the resort. Accommodations offer clean and comfortable cabins that allow you to just focus on fishing. The staff are all well trained and professional to round out a great place to be for any length of time.

We were part of a film and television crew shooting in the area. We stayed at Thompson’s for our accommodations as well as crew catering and the experience was absolutely excellent.
Our hosts, Mark and Lucy, along with their small team took great care of our crew, the accommodations were clean and comfortable.
The catering was all delicious home cooked meals, and the bag lunches were huge.
Filming in the north is often a challenge and Thompson’s gave us a great base to work from.
Arrived as strangers and left as friends.

With all the Covid issues the staff at Thompson's camp took major strides to meet (beat) all provincial requirements and went above to accommodate the safety of the staff and clients. With some new staff at Thompson's Missinipe we were met and introduced. The new people were professional, fun and helpful. As usual the accommodations very clean and quiet. The new breakfast included (pick up or delivered to cabin) with the accommodations was a great extra feature.

We had a great fishing trip to Thompson’s again this year from checkin to departure. The fishing was amazing. Jase the Dock Manager and all of his staff - guided and drivers - were very skilled and helpful. The facilities at Walker Bay were excellent. We enjoyed a wonderful trip!

We felt that $50 a night for our dog was excessive ! Instead of costing $195 a night it cost us $240. I think we will look for cheaper options for our next stay. We have been at Thompson Camp for a few years now but feel they have outpriced themselves . We Love the property and the people are great ! We did enjoy our stay very much. Thank you.
