What's impressive:
- The location (near the top of the hill) - cooling and offers great view of the area. It gets misty especially during the raining seasons.
- The owner of the cottage (friendly and helpful) - drove us around on his 4x4 to show us the places that we can visit in the town.
- It offers a home-stay concept with huge common / dining / entertainment area which is suitable for family or friends gathering which can accommodate up to 80 pax.
- The cottage comes with a common entertainment area that has a pool table, foosball table, kiddy rides, etc.
- The rooms are relatively clean & tidy.
- The cottage offers home-cooked food upon request.
- The town is rather small so it's not too far away from the places of interest (ie., Rainbow Waterfall, Lembing Hill, Pebble River Beach by the river, Lembing Old Town, Lembing Museum, Lembing Mines, etc.)
What to expect:
- As the building was built with bricks to offer the home-stay feeling, do expect poorer sound proof especially when people talk loudly or walk with heavier steps.
- Mosquito and insects bugs are your next best friends since you are staying within the jungle area near the top of the hill.
- Since it's a small town, do expect poor mobile reception in most area of the town including within cottage compound. However, the cottage provides free WiFi services at the common / dining / entertainment area to allow guests to connect with the outside world (though it's 4Mbps but due to many simultaneous users, it typically runs at the speed of 1Mbps and occasionally gets disconnected).
What can be improved:
- Room TV offers mostly mandarin speaking programs, could do better by improving on the choices of programs by including other language selections as well.
- Since the mobile coverage in the town is rather poor, faster and more stable WiFi services will serve better purpose as alternative if guests would like to connect with the outside world.
Final verdict:
- This cottage is suitable to spend some quality time with friends / family and away from the busy city life as well as getting close to nature. It's higher up from the ground level hence providing cooler environment especially in this tropical country.

Everything is fine until night, when there was an open air karaoke session. The front lobby is equipped with powerful stereo speakers together with some colourful lighting and big screen projection, for the guest I guess. Due to I have no other place to go during night at Sg. Lembing, I have to cover my head under the pillow, guess what, it didn't work at all.
When I politely express my feedback about it, this is what the staff reply: "They won't sing for long, only until 11pm." WHAT???!!! If this is happening everyday, I wonder how come no one complain about it at all? Their neighbour? The other guests?
My ears were saved by a power failure in the entire town, before 11pm. Perhaps it's quite a common incident there as the BnB are equipped with generator. It's pity that the power generated are only enough for corridor lighting. Not for the air conditioning in every room. Why can't they think of the guest before everything?
A 30 minutes introduction trip to drive in their jeep around Sungai Lembing also provided as FOC.
We booked by calling directly at room rate if RM180 to occupied 5 of us including 3 kids age 7,11 n 15.

Rooms and common areas are very clean and spacious.
Free WIFI, parking, safe and wonderful fresh country air.
You will need to drive to all nearby attractions but all within 5 mins.
24/7 Free flow of water, hot beverage (coffee and tea) and bread with kaya. Would be nicer if they had a bread toaster though.
Owner was very friendly and accommodating. Giving guests a free 4WD guided tour around town and even throwing in complimentary fried noodles and desert during our stay. Note that owner may not always be around as he has other businesses.
Mahjong, cards and karaoke is available so may be a little more noisy at night. Best to bring earplugs if you're planning to sleep early.

It provides bread and kaya, 3-in-1 coffee sachets, and tea throughout the day. Dessert and afternoon snacks such as fried noodle, green bean soup and red bean soup is served daily too, all self-service. Taste not too bad.
The rooms and the common areas are clean and serve the basic purpose.
Not a bad experience.
Friendly, helpful and generous owner.
We arrived at 12.30pm on 14 May and was greeted with green-bean soup, pau and chee chun fun. Check-in was a breeze.
He drove us (5 pax) for 2 hrs orientation on Sg. Lembing town.
Plan our itinery with Ah Hong for Sunrise Hill, Rainbow Waterfall and Panorama Hill.
