My wife and I stayed at the ocean facing Water Villa for our honeymoon and mark my words, this property is the closest you can get to heaven! Extremely clean rooms and property, with numerous water sports and activities made every second of our visit very enjoyable. We were treated very well and politely by all the staff, and they made my wife and I feel very comfortable for the duration of our stay. Special thanks to the following staff members: Sharan, for his happy conversations and his positive energy. To be working so hard at his young age is very impressive! He really made us feel at home and made sure that we feel well taken care of. Subhi, for taking care of our every need during every meal at the restaurant. She is an excellent staff member who truly cares about her guests! Salauddin, for his interesting chats and hospitality. Hotel's Favourite
We have stayed in the Standard Maldives for about a week and it was one of our BEST vacations ever. It has been our first time in the Maldives and we are both still amazed by how beautiful this country is and how great the hotel was. Both my girlfriend and I would really recommend booking this lovely hotel. Our entire stay has been just wonderful. When we arrived to the airport a Standard Hotel representative was waiting for us which made things much easier. Our representative has helped us in buying a local SIM card (though there is WiFi in the hotel but we have wanted to have a SIM just in case), escorted us to the seaplane (such a beautiful view from the seaplane!) and has been super nice and attentive like all of the hotel staff employees in the Standard Hotel Maldives. When we arrived to the hotel the hotel staff waited for us, helped us with check in, offered a drink and Jason showed us around everything with the buggy and has been very helpful. We booked the overwater villa which is very large and the ocean view was absolutely amazing. There is a small private pool in the villa too which was super nice to have! There is also a big pool in the hotel which we loved going to as well 😍 The food has been super yummy! Especially if you like fish and meat. We also drank coconut almost everyday which was the tastiest coconut ever. There are also many facilities in the hotel, such as gym and spa (we recommends the hammam) and many interesting excursions. There are also many options in the water sports (we did kayak which you receive complimentary). Regarding the beach, it looks exactly like in photos. The water is crystal clear and its color is the prettiest light blue color. The sand is white and words cannot explain how beautiful it is 😍👌🏻 And most important - the hotel staff includes the most kind and amazing people ever. Everyone is so friendly and helpful that they’ll become your best friends! Everyone has been so so nice and kind to us that words cannot explain it. Maldivian people are the best! Aiman has been the kindest person ever, helping us with everything and making this vacation just perfect! And always with a smile. We’re very happy for meeting him! It has been my girlfriend’s birthday and he and the kindest hotel staff ever had arranged a beautiful surprises for her - they decorated a super romantic table for us at the restaurant we booked for dinner, with candles all around, prepared a birthday cake with candles and sang happy birthday and when we came back to the room the bed was decorated with happy birthday wish made from palm tree and a sparkling wine bottle was left in the room. It has been really a wonderful birthday! Aiman who is the best by all means, Aldo the coolest, friendliest and nicest bartender ever, Shifar who’s made every breakfast/dinner much better, Rizan and everyone who made this trip for us so amazing and beautiful we couldn’t thank you more. You are great and kind people, we thank you and we can’t wait to book another holiday in this beautiful island and great hotel! Highly recommended! Well…what can we say. We’re just packing up and saying good bye to the wonderful team at The Standard, Maldives. We actually came to The Standard this time last year (May/June 2022) and returned this year because we fell so in love with this magical place. Last year we got engaged at The Standard and the team went so above and beyond to accommodate us throughout our stay, but especially on the night of our engagement. We had a beautiful candle lit, private dinner. It was more than we could have asked for. We of course had to return when the opportunity arose. On arrival to Male, we were transported to The Standard’s new lounge, where a member of the team looked after us. We immediately felt like we were on holiday. We sat on the balcony, in the sunshine, watching the sea planes take off and land, helping ourselves to the fully stocked fridges for drinks and snacks. The team let us know when it was our turn to fly and escorted us to the correct waiting area (where we waited literally 10 minutes) it was all made so stress free and easy! We were welcomed to The Standard this year, with lots of familiar faces and some new ones too. It was particularly great to see Eva, Shasha and Shak again. All who were so accommodating and hospitable on both visits. We also met the super new GM, Ryszard, who very kindly welcomed us with some complimentary goodies when we were taken to our room. Eva is incredible. She’s super woman. She was always there to help us when we needed her, to plan our days, visits and bookings…anything from booking our dinner reservations, the tennis court, to booking us on to a Dolphin Cruise. She is a fantastic host. She kept us up to date regularly with the new schedules, packages available for the spa and water sports, slight changes due to weather change etc. Everything was thought about, and it was so organised. We went for breakfast and lunch at Kula every single day…how could we not? We were welcomed by the lovely Shak and Soobie, and the rest of the hard working team. So polite and respectful. Always there to make sure we are okay and happy. Our drinks were always replenished when needed/wanted. The variety of food is beyond your expectations. We were never left feeling hungry. There is obviously a lot of hard work and organisation that goes in to these meal times. Shasha and his team at the evening restaurants, BBQ Shak and GuduGuda were fantastic. We looked forward to every single meal time to be welcomed and fed by the restaurant staff. They go above and beyond to meet your wants and needs. The food is 5 star and so delicious. It is nice to have and try a mixture of local food, and food that we are familiar with. The bar staff are phenomenal. So friendly and helpful, always asking how our day has been. No order is a hard one for them. Again, replenishing drinks when we needed them at the pool. We absolutely loved visiting the spa last year, where we had a massage, a facial and I had a manicure. We were super excited to return, and it did not disappoint! Again, the team are very professional, experienced and made us feel extremely welcome. It is so hard to make note and thank each and every member of The Standard staff because we can confidently say, that all members of The Standard team, are polite, respectful, and go above and beyond to make your trip memorable. It’s the small things that made it for us…the team remembering our names, our room number, our favourite drinks…so thank you. Each and every single one of you, thank you. We can’t forget to mention how beautiful the island is, so well kept, clean, and has that home away from home feel to it. The house keeping staff do everything they possibly can to make you feel happy, at home, and safe! Thank you, all of you…we have already spoken about returning to The Standard in the future…we hope to see you all soon! We really do feel like we have met some truly amazing people. The room has free snorkeling gears to enjoy view of sea bed. Beaches around the island are beautiful. There are free bicycles for you to wander around. Staffs are extremely helpful and friendly. Food is good.

We was in the standard in last week with my family we had a good stay, the island was amazing, the room also was great if you have kid they will provide you a separate bed the the room is specouice, once we arrived Youssef from front office received us and as we don't speak Arabic he was very helpful and outstanding he took us for cycle in the island explained us everything and also he explained us the room and all the facilities. And we really appreciate that and also he was all the time smiling and checking on us everyday to make sure that we are having a good time. The only things we were not happy with, one was the vieraty in buffet specially the breakfast you feel like it's exactly the same everyday. And the second thing at checkout time they asked us to check out from 12:00hrs and the seaplane was around 15:00hrs. Yes that's fine if the resort is full but it was only around 50% and they mentioned that if want to extend our checkout we have to pay extra which I see not good. And also the resort need a bit more activities. Again I would think Youssef and all staff for their kind and great hospitality …
