We had an opportunity to stay at the Reconnect Island Resort for a week, and had a wonderful time relaxing and enjoying the beauty of the coral reefs, beaches, and the beautiful sunsets. Thomas Despin, who created the resort, and his team were dedicated to making our visit totally enjoyable and provided excellent hospitality. The pure beauty of the nature on this pristine private island presents a rich atmosphere that anyone would love. And Reconnect does not simply offer a tourism experience, it also enhances the beauty of this Indonesian island by protecting it. Reconnect uses local resources, and employs local people, to provide a pleasurable experience without polluting the planet. Solar panels to save energy, a policy of using less single use plastic, composting, and protecting the coral reefs is a big part of its identity. Come to reconnect…

We stayed here 5 nights and enjoyed every single minute. The Island is just breaktaking - feels like a nearly untouched paradise. The owner of Reconnect is a very friendly, attentive, helpful and grounded french guy with whom we enjoyed together with his indonesian wife every conversation and contact. The food was delecious without any improvement wishes. The Bungalows are very clean und beautiful. You fell aslepp with the waves and wake up with them. Other Activities: You can relax and enjoy at beach with beautiful sunsets, which probably never seen before in this dimension, go snorkeling with an amazing marine life (& intact coral reef), do stand-up-paddling, go out with the boat or discover the untouched island. So i can highly recommend staying here to fullfill your energy again and try to calm down from the hectic life we are mostly surrounded all the time.…

We stayed one week in Reconnect during our one month trip in Sulawesi. Our kids (5 and 9) loved the place and are still taking about it ! Thomas is a very caring and friendly host. The equipments were far better than the other hotel we stayed in Togian (Kadidiri). Finally, the snorkeling is also great, with an impressive underwater cliff prone to see sharks and turtles (although less turtles than in Bunaken).I highly recommend this place to any family!

We had the most incredible time at Reconnect Island Resort. A true private getaway on a pristine island with a beautiful white sand beach and turquoise clear waters with incredible corals to snorkel around and explore. The team at Reconnect are so kind and helpful and even organized a snorkeling boat trip around the island. They set up breakfast privately for us on our porch or at the end of the dock which was a perfect way to start the day. The food here was incredible and always something different. A major perk of this resort is the access to Wi-fi and 24/7 electricity which isn’t always the case in the Togean Islands. If you are planning a trip to Sulawesi, Buka Buka Island - Reconnect Resort is not to be missed!

We had an incredible stay at Reconnect Island Resort. We stayed for 4 nights in the Villa and the Glamping tent, each were beautiful and had all of the amenities you could want. This resort while being on an island (1hour boat ride from Ampana, Sulawesi) had electricity 24/7 and solid Wi-Fi. There is plenty to do during your stay including paddle boarding, snorkeling (corals are beautiful and untouched) at the house reef, go on a snorkeling trip around the private island, enjoy the white soft sand beach, stargazing at night. The food here was delicious and the portions were quite large and included yummy desserts! The staff were so friendly and overall it really is the perfect island getaway!

I stayed twice at Reconnect island resort in its beachfront villa. I liked it so much that I ended up extending up to 3 months. I loved waking up to the sound of the waves, exploring the reef and the island. The food was delicious and healthy, I even had lobsters ! The staff was really friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who needs an authentic break in nature.

If you are a diver and want to experience the best diving in the world, this is it. The island is completely surrounded by unbelievable and colorful coral reef. We stayed a week here and were able to dive every single day. This is the true experience of traveling in Indonesia. You get to spend some time with the locals and share some beautiful moments. The staff here is absolutely caring and sweet. I’m so grateful for this experience, it was truly everything I wanted!

This place is unreal and 100% worth the trip. The perfect escape from the tourist filled places in Bali. The nature, ocean and surroundings are so beautiful and untouched. To top off this great expierence the facilities, staff and food are so great! When you come here you will not want to leave. I was also really suprised with the good Wifi signal since it’s a remote island. Had good connection the whole stay! Thomas is really helpfull and goves the greatest advice on where to explore.

It's been a long journey, but totally worth it. We have to say that this place is just amazing! My wife and I stayed 5 days (4 nights) in their beach villa. Thanks to the staff of Reconnect Island it was easy to organize this trip. They almost arrange all the transportation so we only had to book the flight from Jakarta to Luwuk. We flew from Jakarta to Luwuk, stayed one night in the hotel, and left the next morning with a 5 hour drive to the port of Ampana. From there we took a speedboat across the open sea for about 1 hour. When we arrived Elvi and Thomas greeted us with a welcome drink and a big smile. We felt welcomed right away. Shortly after we went to our room and felt home. It was very clean, comfortable, and cozy. All rooms facing the sea, which guarantees waking up to a fantastic view. Our package included breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The food was very tasty. If you are hungry in between, you can always buy snacks or order a dish like Pisang Goreng. By the way, Pisang Goreng along with the Churros was our favorite. We went two times during our stay for snorkeling. The riff is beautiful with a lot of corals, big fish, and sea turtles. We even could see a small shark passing by on our way back to the beach. Overall, this was one of our best trips in Sulawesi. We will definitely come back to meet Elvi and Thomas along with their little daughter Athena. We would definitely recommend Reconnect Island to everyone. PS: When we are back, this time I will beat Thomas at table tennis :)…
