Beautiful place, well organized, the Lake Huts are lovely The stuff helped with all aspects of organizing the work event and were always there for any questions and additional requests Would be lovely for a family stay as well
My daughter treated me to an overnight stay here at one of the lake huts. I have to say I’ve never stayed anywhere like this. I felt like I’d been on holiday. The surroundings are beautiful and tranquil, the lake hut was impeccably clean and had all the mod cons and everything you could possibly need. We had dinner in the cow shed which was delicious but the huts are self catering so you can easily bring food to cook or warm up. We used the hot tub which had to be the highlight of the stay as it overlooked the lake and was so relaxing. There was a table and chairs outside your own private garden for you to enjoy and the bed was easily the comfiest I’ve ever slept in. I wouldn’t hesitate on booking this again but this time, I’d stay longer!
I have stayed here quiet a few times by myself and with work colleagues and have hosted guests. Room was great, clean, great facilities and nice breakfast. Staff are always very friendly and helpful. I will continue to stay here when I am travelling with work.
This was my first stay here and the drive in is so pleasant but I found a little confusing for directions . I stayed in one of the houses by the cookery school . It was a beautifully decorated room and the shower was brilliant (spacious and strong) It seemed a little strange there is no place to sit your case to unpack for such a size of a room though . Major plus in having fresh milk in the fridge . The trek back to the main building was a little more than expected with no lighting and no path . FYI for anyone staying the wife is very intermittent. All of the staff I met with were very friendly and helpful .
Lovely relaxing retreat Didn’t want to leave, dreamy lakeside hut with outside bath gorgeous views and a swan came visiting would definitely go back and stay at least an extra night Staff were helpful, going across to another bar to get me a baby guiness as it was St Patrick’s day Breakfast was lovely with a great choice
Ignore the haters! Loved this little gem. We had a lodge on the lake with hot tub and loved our night at Tewin. It feels like it’s in the early days of soho farmhouse vibes but without the pretentious people 🤣 or The Pig (not quite got the same feel but very nice and reflected in cheaper price for top rooms). Wedidn’t try the cookery school gym or cinema but sounded cool. View from hot tub was fab and loved waking up on the lake. Few dinner options (cowshed more fancy so with an 18 month old we opted for the casual stable bar) and hard lovely sharer starters and pulled lamb burgers. Breakfast at £13.50 each was amazing- everything you could want on a posh buffet. We went to nearby town Welwyn garden city soft play city, willows activity farm and a mooch around hertford, would recco them all with a toddler. We’ll be back maybe in the summer next time for al fresco drinks on the lake terrace.…
Not very nice experience, I was put in the new building far away from the main reception, restaurant and business center. Of course not transfer services and be told that I had to walk to the place in the dark with not lights on the way through a mud path carrying my suitcase for more than 15 minutes. They should ask before assigning the room if you have a car as you need it to get there. Very disappointing stay.
Recently enjoyed an Abba tribute evening which was great. Staff friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the food was not good. Two of my friends were very ill in the early hours with sickness and diarrhoea and two feeling nauseous. I don’t think the food was hot enough or thoroughly cooked. I have emailed to advise them (twice) 2 days later and they said it will be looked into. No further communication! We DEFINITELY won’t be eating there again unfortunately!
Excrement was left in the toilet after previous guests which suggests it hadn't been cleaned. I had to clean it myself. Our first night was shared with a ABBA tribute band blaring through the accommodation.
Fantastic place to stay, once you’re on site, you feel like you’re a million miles away from everyday life. Breakfast was incredible, made the food how we like it, staff all went over and above. We just had the most loveliest few days.
