We stayed for a week in early October. The room was comfortable and breakfast was good. Our only problem was that the safe didn't work, and despite two complaints, and the staff saying it was fixed, it never worked. I had several pieces of jewelry ($125.00 USD) go missing from the room. Apparently, you can't trust the housekeeping staff, so I recommend insisting that the safe works, and use it! I downgraded the rating by two stars, because I find stealing unacceptable. Too bad, as it was ,otherwise, enjoyable. Conveniently located for the beach and there is a supermarket very close. AC worked well and the pool was refreshing. Lots of families stay here so the pool is busy, especially in the evening. Our room was right above the pool, so it quieted down after 10:00 pm. We mostly swam at siesta time and often had the pool to ourselves. The pool and courtyard are shaded in the afternoon, making it very pleasant. You can take a taxi to the plaza in La Crucesitas or to Santa Cruz for a flat rate that is very reasonable.

Dear guest, we appreciate your feedback. I have taken the case in my hands. Indeed they tell me that you reported your safe, although they say that it was only once and according to them it was working. I personally went to check the safe and it was working perfectly. They tell me that people from another room, friends of you, kept their luggage in the same room. Unfortunately you did not report the missing jewelry at our front desk during your stay or upon your departure. As additional information I commented that our staff has been working with us for more than 10 years and this has never happened, we take these cases as seriously as possible. We apologize for that bad impression you get. Rest assured that we will continue working on this issue.

Had a very good time here. Food was good. Pool was super clean staff was helpful even when i asked for a cubo (bucket) to hold my beers with ice they helped make that happen ;) only reason its not a 5 star rate is because of the wifi. You can only get signal in the reception area. At least on the floor we were on (200)

Stayed there during low season, the hotel was pretty much empty and we got some nice rooms, it's very conveniently located next to chedrahui. staff was very friendly. They gave us a coupon per night per room for breakfast, that was great.

We stayed 3 weeks in hotel Alikar this year in February and we have just good experience and memories. Nice, friendly but professional staff in the restaurant and front desk. Room maid was very creative and our clean towels had always different shape. We had room 401 on the ground across the restaurant what was perfect for us. We often had breakfast, lunch or dinner in the restaurant and everything was good and tasty. Beach is walking distance from Alikar, Super Che (Mexican Superstore with great bakery) is around the corner where you can buy beer, sweets and so on. We are looking forward to come back again.

Excellent hotel, nice rooms with comfortable beds and pillows. Large bathrooms in rooms. We stayed on the third floor and everything was perfect. Tv and AC worked great! The restaurant food was delicious. We tried almost everything on the menu. The food is fresh and the two girl servers were excellent and very professional. This property is very clean with staff continually working keeping up with the ground. The hotel grounds are small but the space is very well landscaped and clean. The pool was refreshing and always clean and sparkling blue! Every day we had towel creations made by the cleaning staff. We felt very safe and were able to relax and enjoy our 5 nights in Huatulco. The Oxxo (convenient store) is right across the street and the Super Che is a very short walk for snacks and anything else you need. Taxis also drive by right out front and are easily accessible. They decorated beautifully for Christmas. Lights and a big tree right out front. It felt very Christmasy while we were there. We loved every moment here! Only downfall for us is that there aren't refrigerators in the rooms, but with the convenient stores so close it wasn't a huge deal. We are planning our next visit in 6 months!

Definitely one of our greatest getaways Hi, well first of all I would try to do a constructive review about this hotel because not all of it is good not all of it bad. All staff were very friendly to us, clarifying all questions we may have. The facilities are very clean and it goes accordingly to the price. It is greatly located to a very quick stroll or ride to any of the Magnificent and gorgeous beaches they have at Huatulco which I was no disappointing at all. Parking lot is very convenient because to see all the wonders of that location you may need to rent a car and is obviously complementary with the price offer Just a note: we made a reservation through our vacation agency and they seem to have a lack of communication as if this was breakfast included or not, so when we get there they mention they couldn´t add the Buffet breakfast but we can pay for it at the restaurant but anyway. Then we thought ok let’s give it a try one day and pay for the buffet , big NO-NO, buffet was just pancakes, scrambled eggs with ham, and something call chilly killis which basically is tortilla or kind of Dorito chips with hot sauce on it some white cheese, sour cream and sliced onion on top some fruit, juice and that’s all I can recall, really if you can put more variety on the “buffet” can be awesome. Other than, as I already mentioned all is great staff, pool, the room, the views and the air conditioning.

We have stayed at the Alikar 3 times. The rooms are basic with great A/C, TV, and a strong wifi connection. The hotel and restaurant staff are very helpful. The complimentary breakfast is off the regular restaurant menu. Secure parking is a benefit along with a pool. Very close to Super Che. Price is moderate so don't expect amenities such as plush towels, pure water or lavish furnishings. Beds are very comfortable. We will return.
