Caroline was a charming host and an excellent cook. We shared an evening meal with other guests which proved to be an excellent evening as the food was superb and the company engaging. Caroline was most helpful in refreezing freezer blocks, finding fridge space for our milk and preparing a thermos of hot water for our onward journey. The beds...

This bed and breakfast is in a beautiful setting. We were greeted by the madame and shown to our room on the ground floor. This was a large room which was clean. Unfortunately although it was July the room was very cold - perhaps because it had been shut up. There is no kettle here so you cannot make yourself...

When we arrived (early) on a dull damp June day, we were bit underwhelmed. Versailles it wasn't. However, actually we had a delightful overnight stop. The chateau I'd being restored slowly whilst the two young owners finance this through several ways. We had the offered set meal with tables shared with other guests and had one of the best nights...

First, the building is attractive and Caroline was delightful. We really enjoyed the evening meal and chatting with her. She's a great cook and very friendly. Another plus side was the big room and a comfortable bed, although it could really use a little smartening up: perhaps provide shower gel, invest in less tatty and dirty armchairs, touch up the...

Situated on the outskirts of this pretty village in an enviable position next to a small lake and public park this chambres d'hote is very handy for the autoroute. The quirky and slightly shabby rooms are in an old stable block, the dining room opposite across the courtyard. As usual with this type of place you have to wait until...

We arrived at Chateau de la Fregeoliere after a six hour drive from Calais. The Chateau is about 2kms off the N20 just before Vierzon. We had booked the Chateau but had little idea of its attractions. Madame was very welcoming if a bit shy. We only saw Monsieur briefly at dinner. The rooms are built around a central courtyard...

First of all one must be clear that this is a Chambre d'Hote not a Chateau. The rooms are reasonable in an old barn or stable block but the ones on the ground floor are very very noisy if anyone moves around in the room above - try to get Madame to guarantee a room upstairs - she isn't very...

My family of three and brother's of four recently stayed at this lovely b&b. our hostess, though a little shy maybe, was delightful; our rooms were charming and very clean with really comfy beds; the food was good and plentiful and the company excellent. Overall a wonderful overnight stop.

Our family recently stayed at the Chateau overnight and what a beautiful setting. The rooms were clean and spacious and looked out onto a courtyard with a fountain in the middle. Opposite was a lake and a childrens playground. The breakfast food was good. The whole experience was so tranquil and yet it was situated close to the village and...

A little difficult to get to. On arrival, our host seemed indifferent to our arrival, Madam that is, we never saw Monsieur. We were shown to our room, through an old barn and up a ricketty old ladder, thank god we were both reasonably agile! Having left us in the room, we did the usual look round, no toiletries at...
