Very uninspiring from the outside, but there was a nice welcome from the receptionist and I was taken to my room and not just directed, nice touch. As we arrived at, what was to be my room, I felt apprehensive as a staircase was immediately next to the door. The room itself was a mixture of good and not so...

Dear Guest Thank you for taking the time to post a somewhat mixed review following your recent stay with us. I believe that you stayed with us during the local Antiques Fair - unfortunately the Antiques Fair guests do seem to come and go at varying hours of the day and night! Most of these guests leave at 4am to...

Stayed here last night on our 1st anniversary-A night out in Newark. Checking was quick and easy and we were escorted to our room (335) which was spacious and nice with a good bathroom albeit the shower was a bit "weedy" but functional. We ended here by accident as we had booked at the deincourt hotel but got a call...

This is a good venue as it is close to the town centre and easy to walk out. It's a little bit 'sterile' in terms of atmosphere but is clean and the bedrooms are fine too. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was excellent.

Lots of parking, lovely restaurant, welcoming team who are friendly and helpful. Nice little touches everywhere. Bedrooms have everything you need and lovely and warm. Breakfast was superb as was the evening meal - recommend you eat in the restaurant - no driving involved and the food and chef were great. Wifi a little difficult in the bedrooms - very...

A warm and friendly welcome is always a good start when staying in a hotel for the first time. After check-in I was taken on a quick tour of the hotel dining room and bar and shown to my room. A comfortable double room with a bright and clean bathroom. The view from my room was across thew car park...

Nice enough place to rest your head but not impressed with the teenagers who stay outside till early in the morning 4! And then the next night even though you have an executive suite there's a dog next to you! Another night of no sleep is my guess! Even though it doesn't state about having dogs in the hotel anywhere...

Dear Cheryl I am sorry that your stay with us did not reach your expectations - I am not sure who the teenagers could have been outside - had they being causing a nuisance at 4am the night porter would have taken some action. Regarding your comments about dogs, we have a strict dog policy on all booking sites -...

Stayed with a group of pals visiting a local attractions. Twin rooms were spotless, decent standard of kitting out and good size. Breakfast was spot on, all in all couldn't fault the stay. Great hotel for 85 quid for a twin room and breakfast.

Second visit and enjoyed just as much, stayed in executive double room on ground floor which is ideal for us oldies. Room cleaned to a high standard & new bathrooms & tiling done since last year. This hotel was central to where I needed to be for business and also near the town for leisure and train station was easy walk of the hotel.
