We arrived a little bit after night fall. The parking lot was hard to find as it is through an arched door on the inside of the castle walls. Stephanie actually met us outside and directed our car to the right spot. She gave us a warm welcome and showed us our room. We walked through a dimly lit stone...

Euro20 for a family of four to look around - took us 20 minutes, and that's with stopping to look at some of the (not too many) informative plaques. Run down gardens. Not much to see inside. Misleading ticket information seemed to offer a lot more than what was actually on offer. Privately owned and it shows. Shame.

Sure, there are some things that could be improved. But it's so unique, the experience was special, just understand that the mattress isn't perfect or the Internet or pool isn't five star. . Property is gorgeous, the castle is special, the hostess is an extremely gracious person and you're made to feel at home. If you don't want country this...

I'm not sure what my expectations were, staying of all places in a chateau. I was in one small way disappointed -- the chateau itself, after some destruction in the French Revolution and decades of neglect in the century that followed, is still not in top shape. But it is getting there -- art conservateurs were at work on some...

Not your usual Chateau in the Loire Valley, this place has been in the same family for 350 years and has some great stories attached to it. One was about the 2 km escape tunnel that stretches to the church in the next village an how it was used during WW 2, another was about the fabulous 16th century Italian...

Everything was done to make sure our stay was great including dinner reservations, a tour of the chateau, recommendations on where to visit in the area etc. the room was very comfortable and had a great old world feel. You really feel a part of the history of this place when you stay here.

We rented the appartement during 3 weeks in July. We were with our two sons aged 11 & 13, and had a friend staying with us for a few days. The appartement to its maximum capacity (with the suite de la Lorie) is at the ground floor with direct entrance. There is a very large living room with a piano,...

We stayed here for a night in February as I wanted to experience "sleeping in a castle for a night". If you don't like being cold in winter in your sleep, perhaps book it for summer, though you may have to pay double the price. The place was very quiet so we almost had it all to ourselves, besides the...

We stayed here for 1 night in late August this year. Although the place looks very impressive and, at first glance, the room looked lovely, things started to fall apart after that. The room wasn't particularly well cleaned with a copious quantity of cobwebs when opening the curtains to look out of the window. The evening meal was an experience...

Very friendly family and beautiful place to stay. Lovely surroundings and ideally situated in the Loire to visit other chateaux. Definately a place to come back and see how the family completed the restauration of the chateau.
