Comfortable, cozy rooms with a most welcome heater on a rainy, damp day. Super comfy bed and nice linens with a bonus from a thick and cuddly giant-size throw as well. We were drenched from touring the local waterfall and the heater came in so handy to warm us and dry our clothes. Great pressure in the shower with really... More

We decided to stay up near Poas Volcano, on Poasito, on our last night in C.R. For $50 we got a super clean room, Newly renovated, with wood paneling, tile bathroom and floors, two beds, flat screen tv. Full size Coffee pot with nice cups. Our dinner by the fire was delicious a vegetarian option with grilled veggies, guacomole, homemade... More

This hotel is in a great view location, a short walk across the road and views of the central valley are great. With the dairy cows grazing in the steep fields, it could almost be Switzerland . The hotel is physically quite nice , I stayed in one of their cabina style accommodations . Simple furnishing and a wood burning... More

My Spanish is limited, so when I called the hotel to make a reservation, (Mario) the owner himself, was immediately put on the phone to assist me. We confirmed a 3 nite stay, and were made to feel quite welcome when we arrived. We requested a room with a view, and got a second floor room looking out over the... More

Don Mario, his wife and all his staff make anyone feel at home with their warm and undivided attention. The food is exquisite, the rooms are impeccable. Could not ask for more. We can't wait to go back!

The rooms were nice, cable tv (English or Spanish) coffee pot, hot showers. A pretty basic hotel, accessible to everything. Breakfast was delicious. The restaurant was overpriced. We ordered sandwiches for dinner one night (4 meals) and paid almost $60. Close to Poas and La Paz. The traffic is loud for the rooms on the end but that's no fault... More

Great location and clean accomodation with adjacent restaurant. BUT ..... seriously let down by total lack of crockery and equioment in the self catering kitchen of our apartment. No hot water for shower either although I gather this is common in Costa Rica. Free wifi but only in restaurant

We got here when it was rainy. They had little heaters in the room which warmed us right up. Rooms were woods abeles with extra warm blankets. We ate in the restaurant and was best meal we had in the trip. Lots of fried onions! Owner was very cheery and helpful. Highly recommend.
