We stayed in a "chalet" which is a fancy way to say cabin. The bedroom is at ground level and was very basic with wooden walls and ceiling and a few shelves. We brought chairs from the balcony into the room to have somewhere to place things. The masonry walls down to the bathroom in the "basement" were dirty. The...

Strategically placed overlooking the beautiful valley this is just 2 miles from Paraiso and 8 from Cartago. It is well placed to visit Iruzu Volcano for the day. The rooms are large and have every comfort and the day-long restaurant is most convenient. The included breakfast was ample and varied.

The rooms are totally worn and old. We had no TV in the room, although it was mentioned in the room description. The room is not clean. The bedspreads are dirty and smell. The towels in the shower smells also. it is very noisy in the hotel. Breakfast is set! Scrambled eggs or omelette, toast and some fruits. For me,...

Stayed only one night. The view from the room and restaurant was great (as can be expected with 'mirador' in the name) and the rooms were fine. TV, AC, no WiFi (only in restaurant), hot showers, clean. Restaurant service was friendly, very fast, mostly Spanish, and the food was ok if a little overpriced. Didn't book any tours through the...

This is a fabulous quaint Costa Rican rustic lodge . It is family owned. We have stayed there twice over the last 10 years. The views are breathtaking. I always said, if we build another house, I want a view from the bathrooms like the ones from the bathrooms at the Sanchiri Mirador Lodge! There is a panoramic view of...

When the staff person opened the door to the room, and I saw the view, I gasped. I looked at her and asked, "Does everyone do this when they see the view?" "Yes," she said, smiling. It is truly breathtaking. The room was spacious, as was the bathroom and shower, but the room contained no bureau or closet or wardrobe,...

The views from our room was stunning. We looked out over the entire valley. The room itself was extremely basic with not much more than the beds. We also found it quite drafty in the room. The people in the restaurant were extremely friendly and helpful. We had breakfast (which was included) and was ok but not great. The dinner...

This was an absolute gem of a find on our trip to Costa Rica. It was down this dirt road and up in the hills with a fabulous view. They also have cabins that would be great to stay in while using this area as a home base to go to other spots. The food at the restaurant was excellent....

“We had a room on the top floor of the lodge. We peeked into the rooms downstairs and they seemed to have the same terrific view as ours did. I think the view from the cabins is obscured by trees and vegetation; I'd pick a room in the lodge.”
