We spent the loveliest 10 days in Boipeba. P. Santa Clara was a great choice for us. Highly recommended.

We've stayed at Santa Clara twice and especially enjoyed the happy and charming staff. It's impossible not to become happy when you hear the laughter and singing of the charming staff. They enjoy their work and they enjoy having guests. What an atmosphere! Pernilla & Lars, Denmark

Sometimes you just have to work a little harder to find paradise. But it's not too much of a hardship really as Charles will sort all the travel arrangements for you if you ask. So from Salvador, you'll probably catch the ferry across the bay, then drive for an hour and a half to Valenca and then do another hour...

Hi, Charles, the owner was always a pleasure to speak to and always smiled. Boipeba is a beautiful island and it's long quiet beaches were stunning. The breakfast served each morning was a tasty mix of fruit, suco, cakes, coffee, pastries and small delights! Our two storey cabin had a wonderful balcony with a hammock over looking the trees and...

Charming pousada on this wonderful tropical island. Charles is a very gracious and kind host, going out of his way to make our stay truly memorable. Great restaurant, beautifully landscaped and decotrated lush grounds. Getting to the best beach area takes a pleasant walk along the almost deserted beach, but it's well worth it. Charles takes personal interest and initiative...

The rooms and the location are amazing. This B&B combines sophistication with earthiness, and the owners/managers are very attentive and keep the place running very smoothly. The only problem I had was with the staff, who was extremely noisy. When staying in the room during the day it was difficult to relax due to staff loud chatter in the kitchen...

Let me start by saying the journey is not for the faint hearted. We flew from Salvador and got the ferry, taxi, speedboat etc and it was more or less a days travel. We arrived at the ferry port at the start of a national holiday and the experience was eye opening, people everywhere pushing and shoving with us sticking...

I agree with a previous review: telling the world about Boipeba might be dangerous. Lush scenery, pristine beaches where you can have a long stretch of sand only for yourself, warm and calm waters. Thankfully the local community seems keen to keep the island away from mass tourism. It is a fair trek to get there and it helps giving...

In writing this review I might be shooting myself in the foot by encouraging more tourists to disrupt this beautiful and tranquil island. However, but by keeping this Pousada a secret i could be considered extremely selfish. So here you go.. This beautiful pousada is set in lush tropical gardens and is a minute walk from the pristine beach. Run...

An absolutely beautiful place to stay. Very lush and green with pretty tile work throughout the grounds. The rooms are a nice size and many come with hammocks. The beds are firm ,but would not describe them as hard and come with mosquito nets. There's also a little library where you can also while the day away reading. The beach...
