Chose this place as it was nearby to where our friends were getting married. Lovely clean room and welcoming staff. The breakfast was extremely tasty and plenty of options to choose from. Everything we needed for our short visit and reasonably priced. Not much in the immediate vicinity but plenty a short drive away.

Between us we tried the fish and chips, steak, Thai curry, burger, duck, salmon and a range of starters. All very good and the desserts were fab & beautifully presented. Family and visiting friends all happy, would definitely eat...

We stopped her on our way to Langley Castle for our wedding. We had my 7 year old step daughter and elderly father in law in tow. They both loved it. This is an atmospheric old pub with an interesting history, great ales, and wonderful food. Unexpectedly it also has one of the best outdoor play areas I've seen in...

Fantastic experience in this nice pub, which has three rooms and a great restaurant!! We stayed 4 nights (hiking Hadrian's Wall), and enjoyed every evening the meals, really good breakfast (included in the price for staying) and excellent draft beer!! The staff is very nice, the owner cooks and looks for every detail. Will be very happy to come back!!!
