Just spent a 4-day stay there and I can say that, while there were many positive things, this hotel is not a 5-star hotel, as it claims to be. The complex is divided into a few buildings. We were staying in the main building, where the reception is located. Our 1st floor deluxe-room gave us an extremely beautiful viewpoint of the Bay. The room was very spacious. King-sized bed, double sinks in the bathroom, very good water pressure in the shower and a living room area adjancent the balcony. Two little details that irritated us about the room, though, were the fact the TVs located in the bedroom and living room were very well responding both to the sole remote control we had. So, if turning one TV one and switching channels, the 2nd one would do so as well, creating undesired signal outputs overlapping. Second thing is that there was no handsoap provided in the room. That is mesmerizing us, as this is a common feature to expect, let alone from a 5-star hotel. We would say that we experienced four (4) major setbacks that made our stay at this hotel, average, at best. First, the pools were emptied during our entire stay. As we had booked this hotel specifically for the pools, this was a major drawback. Which brings us to the second major disappointment, the front desk staff. Even though we inquired about the pool’s promised reopening every day, the front deks failed to give us updates on this, even though they were writing down our room number and promised us to give us some updates. Despite them knowing specifically we were missing out on our experience, they never even tried to offer us some comp to make up for this. Usually, every other 5-star place would offer a free dinner, bottle of wine/champagne or discount at the spa to make-up for it and keep the customers happy… they didn’t even try. Upon checkout, they asked us how was our stay and I was shocked they did, as they knew about our disappointment and the fact the two people at the front desk looked surprised we found our stay “average” stunned us… as they were the same people we exchanged with every day. These people don’t know anything about customer service or simply don’t give a cookie about it. Third, the breakfast was not only underwhelming food-wise, but very chaotic service-wise. To our surprise, it was not the typical buffet-style breakfast offer that was servced, but more of a “à la carte” offer, which was all-included. This, of course, significantly slowed-down the service. On top of that, the wait staff was very disorganized and not efficient. Their promptness to serve some tables varied greatly; leaving some customers sitting there for 10-15 mins until someone came to take their drinks and food order. Furthermore, we saw on a few occasions wait staff interrupting other wait staff in their interactions with the customers. This is below any standard in this industry, let alone in a 5-star establishment. When it comes to the food iteslf, the quality left a lot te be desired for. Main example to give are the eggs benedict, which were served on a plain, untoasted hamburger bun, with a very small egg and a spoonful of hollandaise sauce. I am teaching my 13 year-old kid to cook for a couple of years now and that is the kind of dish I would expect her to present to me… not a chef from a 5-star hotel. I was laughing so loud when I was served this. Few other things could be shared about other food items, too. I understand they are set to move to a “self-service buffet-type” offer soon, instead, which should address the deficient service part. Unfortunately, I am afraid the food quality will still be sub-par. Lastly, on our second day, the room cleaning crew did not visit our room. When we called reception, they promptly brought towels… but this is again, not to a 5-star hotel standard. One other very bright spot we experienced was about the “Virtu” beach club adjacent our hotel. The premises are very nice, freshly updated and the lady manging the place is extremely focused on customer service (lessons staff from the hotel should take from her). She made our stay there very special and we are very grateful. Al lin all, we would give this place a 3.5 star rating. The private beach, spacious room and location/view make it tick upward… while the very poor service, breakfast and lack of details bring it downward.

Staying at Huma Kotor Bay in Montenegro was an absolute treat. Right on the edge of the peaceful Kotor Bay, the hotel gives you a front-row seat to some truly breathtaking views. The rooms? Comfortable, clean, and, best of all, boasting a view of the bay that had me reaching for my camera every morning. The staff? Super friendly and always ready to help, making my stay even more enjoyable. They had a knack for making you feel special, and their local knowledge made exploring the surrounding area a breeze. The pool area was a highlight - perfect for lounging around and taking in the beautiful vista of the bay. It was an ideal spot to chill during the day, and it was equally mesmerizing at night with the lights reflecting off the water. Oh, and the spa! That was a haven of relaxation. Whether it was a dip in the indoor pool, a spell in the sauna, or a rejuvenating treatment, it was the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. The food was a delightful surprise - from local dishes to international cuisine, everything was super fresh and tasty. The waterfront dining was a memorable experience - great food, friendly service, and that spectacular view made every meal something special. To sum it up, Huma Kotor Bay was a dream. With its fantastic location, comfy rooms, welcoming staff, awesome pool and spa, and scrumptious food, it was more than just a hotel. It felt like a slice of Montenegrin heaven that I would recommend to anyone looking for a genuine and simple travel experience.

Although the exterior of the hotel and the facility was really nice , our actual stay was not very convenient . The room was only clean with a complementary water bottle on the day we arrived. The remaining 4 days it was not clean at all. The cleaning staff are terrible . The floor and the shower and bathroom was never cleaned . It was dirty . The only thing she did was makes up the bed and place new towels. Without cleaning anything. The bathrobe was not replaced since day one and when I asked for another one it took an hour and three follow up calls to get it and when they brought it to me it has a brown make up stain on it. It’s very far from the city center and old town of kotor. A long walking distance more than 30 minutes. So location is not very convenient. And it’s not easy to find a bus to downtown. You can check google map for the location. When we asked them for complementary water for the next 3 days they refused and informed us to just buy it from the bar and we wanted it for the coffee in the room. On our checkout day one of the staff was cleaning the hotel outside the window of our room with a very noisy device that’s like a water spray at 6:30 in the morning and we woke up too early that day because of the noise. Not considerate to the guests with this noise at 6:30 am!!! Overall terrible experience I would never recommend it or even consider going to that hotel again !

The location of this hotel was spectcular; certainly one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in. The quality of the buildings was superior. However, there were a few things that let it down. It seemed as though the staff were restricted from offering anything extra - such as there was a real battle to get some milk for the room, they wouldn't give extra coffee or tea sachets. They didn't service the room. We also arrived and the balcony door was broken. It took a lot of explaining to get it sorted. It might have been the fact that nobody spoke English to any standard. The receptionists were okay and tried as far as they could, but I think they were under trained. There was one waitress in breakfast who was very nice and helpful. The hotel was in walking distance of the old town, about 15 minutes. There were quite a few small shops and cafe bars on the way to Kotor town. The views were amazing.

Everything in this hotel feels like a dream. The moment you walk in, staff is extremely friendly and nice, they helped me settle in and gave me recommendations for Kotor, as well as a map with main attractions and recommendations for restaurants. Then, the room was amazing. Big rooms with unbeatable views, comfortable beds, and very big bathrooms. Everything was clean and beautiful, spacious and had everything you may need. Location is perfect, you have a nice promenade by the beach filled with restaurants, and you can get to the old town by walking through that path. You have the beach in front of the hotel, and also beautiful pools where you can enjoy the views with more privacy. The food was the best part. Breakfast is incredible, it has a lot of variety and everything is delicious, fresh, and well-prepared. The restaurant in the hotel, Mudra, is also one of the best I've ever tried -HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
