This is our second stay here in just over a year. We booked over the phone and obtained a competitive rate, inclusive of breakfast for 2 mornings for our family of 4 and also a Questacon family pass (valued at $70). I have listed the pros and cons below from our point of view Pros: Lovely, welcoming and helpful staff...

This wasn't our choice of hotels but we went with friends who booked here so we followed. The hotel is fine nothing stands out as wrong except that it's in need of a makeover but there are other hotel choices which are far better even for your money. The pool area has been refurbished but everywhere else is out dated....

I had a number of meetings around this part of the CBD so the location was really good. The hotel is comfortable - its showing its age in a few areas but still passes the grade as very good. My room overlooked the bus terminal - normally wouldn't be a problem but for the drivers using their horns and the...

The problem with this Hotel is its dirty. The corridors are filthy, the lobby awful, the breakfast, at $30 is poor value....go up the road to the Ruckus cafe for a delicious brekky for $10...and the rooms are weird. There's no excusing the dirty, which they need to fix but this is not up to Novotel standard. More a Mercure...

The location is great and my room was spacious. The downside was the halls and common areas are dirty. I'm not sure when the last time they were vacuumed but there were bits and pieces all over the floors (I was on level 5). In my wardrobe there was a pair of socks left behind by a previous occupant. On...

Novotel Canberra had a decent sized room and a large balcony. Also having a indoor pool, spa and sauna was a real bonus. The hotel is central to all major spots like the war memorial, Cockington gardens and parliament house. Breakfast was very good and the service was excellent.

Reasonably good location - short drives to all the sights we wanted to see Hotel was dated but suitable for our needs One room experience of beds only being half made and bin not emptied on one day - but not a big issue. All other days the room was fine. Bar and restaurant not adequately staffed during busier drinks...

This hotel is well located in the city centre near to restaurants and shops. It is fine for a business stay. The staff are friendly and helpful. My room was OK, but was starting to look a bit tired. It's not the fanciest hotel in town, but for business or short stays it should be OK.

My wife and I had an overnight stay at the Novotel, on our Trafalgar tour. The room was adequate with free WIFI, and we had the dinner buffet as well as the breakfast. Nothing spectacular, the food was o.k.
