I have to admit that I was a bit nervous about staying here as it was so cheap compared to the other hotels (booking.com special of A$119 per night). I was travelling to Sydney for a specialist appointment for my young daughter, so we really only needed a bed to sleep in. I was pleasantly surprised. Definitely not for the...

We stayed there for three days at a weekend. The location is fabulous, surronded with everything around, especially bars. It is just in the heart of CBD. The hotel was so clean with good space for rooms. however, t doesn't have lift and we were in the fourth floor, since all rooms are in the third and fourth floor. But,...

Tucked away in the Sydney CBD on Hunter street. The room does not have the feel of a 5 star hotel but it's got everything to satisfy even the fussiest traveller. The rates are impressive and the location is excellent. Wynyard station is a stone's throw away and the Hunter food court is just nearby. Shopping is very by too....

I booked this last minute, it was cheap and my expectations were low. So it was really nice to be pleasantly surprised. Located right in the heart of the CBD so walking distance to everything. I expected it to be noisy and it wasn't. Looks nothing from the outside but my room was not a bad size twin and had...

Close to Wynyard Station, close to Circular Quay, reasonable rates, had twin beds (sometimes hard to find) clean comfortable amenities, room only small but sufficient space for short stay, shared lounge, kitchen and dining area available on first floor. Only draw back - no lift, otherwise excellent

Good location and clean bedding. Needs someone to make a trip to ikea to replace all the dated bed spreads, wall hangings etc. Staff were helpful. Communal kitchen had a sharps box in for IVDU which was confronting when we arrived with our 2 children under 4.

Stopped here for the night prior to flying long haul. Very small doorway which is easy to miss, and lots of narrow stairs. My room was billed as a premium room, not sure what a standard room is like as room was very small and dark. On the whole, clean, staff friendly but probably wouldn't stay for more than one...

Downtown accommodations with the necessary amenities, close to everything at a decent rate. Room was small, but was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Opera, botanical gardens, shopping and dining spots all within walking distance.

The location was great but we were not expecting to climb so many stairs, no lift. Luckily we traveled light but the stairs were many and the stair well narrow. If you are fit and have light luggage then this is a great spot but if you have issues lugging your gear up flights of steep stairs then give this...

I can understand why some travellers give this property low ratings as it is very much a boutique (even cottage industry) hotel lacking in many of the features taken for granted in a hotel rated commercially at 3 stars or above. There is no lift while there are a lot of rooms up a lot of stairs. I was in...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
