The beds were comfortable and clean ... but the bathroom was a definite let down - mould between the tiles, taps not just dripping but dribbling - when I mentioned it I was told that a renovation was going to happened - I think it should have happened years ago - all just looked tired. It was convenient to where...

No lift to the third floor but could have overlooked that if it hadn't been for the non- working air conditioner, non- working fridge, mouldy bathroom that for a weird reason someone had coloured in all the grouting in the shower with black pen. The ensemble base on one of the beds had a mark that looked very much like...

Stayed here when I visited Sydney as tourist (2017). I was a bit sceptical about it while booking it but I guess that helped me in getting my expectations in line. While going to see places, I believe in spending more on seeing places rather than spending like crazy on accommodations - something that seems inevitable when it comes to...

There is no lift and we were on 3rd floor so had to carry heavy luggage down. We arrived at 3.15pm but room was still not ready so staff agreed to take our luggage in the "staff only" lift which was along the worst smelly hallway of any place I have ever been. The decor was so run down, with...

We stayed at Parkview for 1 night as i had something on in sydney. For starters its $10 a day parking and the parking is in a allyway ( where the bins are ) next to a club a bit seedy. The stairs leading to reception are metal and look unsafe especially in the wet. The reception smells and the...

It's a basic hotel but it does have an ensuite (shower/toilet). At least you don't have to walk down the corridor! Yes, it;'s basic, & yes the carpets are worn (I've stayed in worse), but it's lose to the Universities, has a huge Broadway Mall (with Coles supermarket & loads of shops & an Apple Store) at the back of...

Let's put it this way, you need a budget room in a place near the Sydney CBD. This hotel answer's your call as the location is just 15 minutes walk to Darling Harbour, China Town and Central Train Station. It is three storey and has no lift, room with attached toilet (a big plus point), free in room wifi, cable...

My stay started with having to lug my suitcase up 3 flights of stairs as there is no lifts and no offer of help from the uninterested staff. Mouldy bathroom and thick dust was quite noticeable. Not a pleasant place to stay but location is good.

Staying in Glebe

Neighbourhood Profile
Glebe
An inner city suburb along the water, Glebe has a deep-rooted sense of cultural history and heritage. It originated as a semi-rural resort for the well-to-do, but has transformed into a student-centric melting pot. Visit Glebe Point Road for ethnic cuisine as standard as Mexican, Indian, Italian and Chinese, or as diverse as Spanish, Bavarian, Polish, Czech and Lebanese. You will find that Glebe is accepting of the eccentrics and aboriginals that roam the streets, integrating students and people of all economic statuses into the multi-cultural fabric that distinguishes this suburb. Glebe Foreshore is a great destination for a leisurely walk along the Bay, and the Saturday market is a great scene for bargain hunters.
