I really loved this please. Cozy little hostel in the middle of knowhere. 3 beaches to go to. The free wine night on friday is hilarious. Its clean and spacious. The staff was friendly. The bikes were for free and the shuttle drove a lot of times. They only thing is: you cant go out for dinner or partying. The...

We stayed here when we first arrived in Sydney and we didn't enjoy it, possibly because it was our first time in a hostel and we're a bit older. We stayed in a double room for 3 nights and it cost is £162 which I thought was extortionate! Our bunk beds were uncomfortable, the room was freezing at night, room...

Hi, Thanks for staying with us and thanks for the review. As our hostel is located in the entertainment district with lots of bars, cafes and restaurants we tend to attract a younger crowd between 20 and 30 but still get the older but young at heart. The 4 bed dorm rooms are $34 per night which include, free breakfast,...

We stayed for 3 nights at Jackaroo on our first trip to Sydney. Clientele are almost entirely a younger crowd. What we liked: FACILITIES - lots of clean bathrooms (although one or two were a bit smelly) and showers, rarely had to wait for a shower. Free wifi with great signal everywhere too which was a plus! ROOMS - spacious,...

We stayed here in the middle of August, and found the place clean and quiet. The location is fantastic with it being right on top of Kings Cross station means you can get anywhere quite easily (we used a mymulti the entire time we were there). We opted for a private double room which was small but you didn't need...

I stayed at Jackaroo for a week whilst travelling countries with my partner & felt very comfortable here. Although the area it's situated (Kings Cross) wasn't to our taste, it was fine as the hostel is next door to the underground station! It made travelling around the city so easy. The overall appearance & security of the hostel was great,...

This hostel is situated in maybe the most interesting part of the town. You'll see high people, drunk people, prostiutes, tramps etc. when you walk out of the hostel. The city centre is not far away, it's like a 10 min walk. The hostel provides free wifi, which is really rare in Australia. The rooms are alright, there is enough...

Strictly speaking the hostel isnt actually bad it has all the right credentials for a good inner city hostel it was the lack of decency by other young backpackers and i hate to call them that cause they give us a bad name more like ill reared louts and the sleeping arrangements which let the place down for me. I...

I stayed in around 10 different hostels in Sydney before I found the Jackaroo. After I found it I didn't leave for the rest of my 7 month Sydney visit. It had a great social scene, and special mention should go to their events manager Trev who ensured everyone was included in the events. What made this place stand out...
