Comfortable room, great location, and, most importantly, a very helpful staff. I stayed for 6 nights at the hotel during my 3 wks in Australia. What distinguished this stay from the other hotels I used was the help I received from the MOD (Junpei). He does a great job listening and solving problems...always with a smile. The level of service was good considering the challenges that the hotel industry is facing now. The location is great for exploring Sydney. The hotel is around the corner from the Light Rail stop which takes you to the Circular Quay in about 15 mins. Chinatown and Darling Harbor are nearby too. There's shopping everywhere (e.g., Pitt St. mall, Paddy's Markets) as well as 2 full-service grocery stores within a block or so. The street in front of the hotel can be a little crowded and noisy at night (Campbell St. dead-ends into George St, where the Light Rail stop is). But, the hotel is a calm oasis. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils. The gym, pool, and sauna are good amenities, too. Bottom-line: I would stay at this hotel again (or another Meriton Suites) just based on this experience. Thanks.…
great room in a great location, light rail out the front, other public transport close by. Plenty of places close by to eat and drink. The rooms are spacious clean and tidy with a comfortable bed. The staff are friendly and helpful. It has a nice pool, sauna, spa and small gym. I will stay here again.
There were often long wait periods for the lifts with 1 of 3 available customer lifts out of service. According to staff this has been the case for weeks now and is not likely to be resolved in the near future. The Studio Luxury Suite was roomy and comfortable, with a generous sized bathroom. Disappointingly it only contained a bar fridge which didn't feel very luxurious to me. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Lovely stay - great staff and room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed facilities and it was super close to shopping and restaurants - My son and I had a great time, he turned 13 and received a box of chocolates from the staff - which was a lovely touch and very kind.
We spent 4 nights at Meriton Suites, Campbell Street. The staff were incredibly friendly. The rooms are spacious, well equipped and clean. The Hotel is ideally situated, near the intersection of two Light Rail lines, close to Paddy's Market, Chinatown, shopping and Central Station.
We got wonderful stay in here, bed was comfy. Small kitchen and lovely room, including everything we need, I love it! There was a little bit of a hiccup, the housekeeper missed my room but the counter already returned my money back, so I gave high score.
Lovely clean studio suite. All appliances etc in the room. I have enjoyed two stays here and have always felt safe. Transport within minutes away. Staff very polite and helpful.Good and close Restaurants within walking distance.
I haven really had a bad experience with Meriton, always clean and tidy and locations are great. The tram stopped right out the front which was convenient to get around. Short walk to bars and places to eat within a stones throw. I recommend the location, parking is expensive but convenient.
Last week I recently returned to Sydney for the first time in 10 years, and after having good experiences at Meriton properties in Brisbane and Broadbeach in recent years, I was keen to give a Sydney property a go. I booked this 6+ months out from my stay and received excellent VFM. I asked for a room on a high floor, which was granted, unfortunately my view didnt provide anything exciting, but that's OK. The room clean, and more spacious than I anticipated, and was very quiet given its proximity to things like light rail and busy Pitt Street. My room was fully eqipped for a longer stay with cooking facilities and washer/dryer. Location is always key for me, as I never hire a car and rely on public transport. Light rail is practically at the front door, central station a short walk away, World Square shopping centre is a block away with restaurants and a Coles, so for those looking to not use a car, you can't go wrong staying here. I found all staff friendly. My only frustration was the lifts - they sure have a mind of their own! When I return to Sydney next - which won't be in another 10 years, I'll look at pricing on this hotel before anywhere else.…
We left a nightmare hotel nearby and ended up here at the MS Campbell Street. What a wonderful place. Helpful and friendly staff, clean and spacious apartment, an open swimming pool and gym, great location. We were here for 13 nights, and enjoyed every minute of it.
