Great place to stay and the hotel is very nice the view from the roof top pool eas amazing My room was very quiet and comfortable All staff i spoke to were polite and friendly I would recommend this hotel
We booked a twin room from friday night till sunday could not fault the room or the service provided by the staff. The breakfast was very yummy again couldnt complain about this The view from the room and the roof was spectacular. We will be back thats for sure The only fault is the parking as the sensors were broken you had to call each time you wanted to leave carpark but that wont turn me away Very happy enjoyed our time With only a short walk to circular quey it was close to everything
So so tired. The entire hotel needs a renovation. Outrageously overpriced for such an old, run-down hotel. They’re clearly charging for the location and the name of the chain. CANNOT FAULT the Front Office staff and their friendliness and kindness. Warning: Lock your belongings away when you’re not in your room.
We stayed two nights during Vivid in early June and the location of this hotel was perfect! So close to all the highlights of this event but still easily travelable to other venues in Sydney...all forms of public transport are at your doorstep. The staff were more than happy to help with directions, best spots to hail a taxi and even an odd request by us to store our freezer blocks for a picnic the following day!...always a smile and a welcoming greeting! The room wasn't huge but the bed was comfortable, the room was clean and the amenities supplied were well stocked. The rooms definitely show that the property has a little age to it, but the public areas are spacious and modern ands the whole hotel appears to be very well maintained. The location of this hotel is without a doubt it's best selling point...plus it's friendly staff...so close to the cafes and history of The Rocks, the spectacular views of Circular Quay and even Darling Harbour via the lovely walk through the Barangaroo Reserve area.…
The hotel is dated but location is good for harbour and Opera House. We stayed one night for vivid. The hotel is rated at four stars but the walls are bare, rooms are dusty, air conditioning is noisy, no tissues, no biscuits with coffee, and the hot breakfast was cold. I have stayed at the hotel when operated under a different owner and was not better. For the price no value. Although they have a happy hour, the bar closes at 9pm so traveller returning after external dinner looking for a night cap unable to relax.
Booked for the long weekend 10th - 12th after our usual accomodation was fully booked. Our room at Rydges was old and outdated and for the cost of over $400 per night was way way over priced. Front desk staff were pleasant happy and obliging. The only other positives were the bed was comfortable, ok view and great location. Don’t think we will be back unless they spend their profits on doing the rooms up.
Great location, hotel dated We stayed 2 nights and found the location fabulous. The view from the roof top very good. But it is dated and room needs renovation. Breakfast buffet was very good and the staff were pleasant. We were on the 8th (top) floor and the air conditioning was noisy. The bathroom is very small and dated - shower is over a little deep bath with a shower curtain ! The tiles had been painted white! The floor tile had mildew on them as did the air conditioning vents. There was only one comfortable chair for 2 people so one of us had to sit on the bed. The carpet is worn out. Tarif on the second night was $377 as it was first night of Vivid. We stayed in a modernised country motel last weekend that was so much better for $110/ night. We won’t stay here again.
This hotel is in the best location in the historic Rocks. Heaps to see and do just outside the door. Rooms are a good size, beds very comfy and service was friendly. The do has markets out the front on weekends and a little noise from set up but that’s to be expected it is the city.
Handy location for this end of town and this end of town is gorgeous!! The cafes are awesome, the restaurants are divine and views are stunning. Shops are varied and there is a fabulous food court just a short walk away at Circular Quay.
Really well located. Staff were great. Way overpriced as rooms are small and old. Had a harbor view but couldn’t open curtains and the view was a glimpse. Would have been grand but not up to modern expectations with a $320+ per night price tag. Quite noisy through the night. Air conditioning even on low was really loud and early morning street noise. Good people though and easy to check in and out.
