We were running a conference at the Novotel Central for a week & found the Novotel to be outstanding regarding catering for all our needs for business. Our suite we booked was excellent having amble space for a weeks stay. With a king size bed , lounge suite & dining table with chairs. The hotel lobby area with couches ,...

We stayed here for one night and quite enjoyed it. The check in was brilliant, the chap at the desk went out of his way to make the whole procedure as smooth as could be. He gave us a great room on the 17th floor and thoroughly explained the parking deal with Wilsons adjacent to the hotel. The location was...

We only stayed 2 nights at Novotel. The buffet breakfast had a good variety of food from Chinese congee to the regular eggs, sausages, toast, etc. A good selection of fruit for juicing. Staff were very friendly and efficient. The safe in our room wasn't working and it was fixed by the next day. The hotel is close to the...

Hi ron_janicek2, Thanks for the 4/5! The juicer in our buffet breakfast is my favourite little extra that we have and it's great to see it's loved by others also. Thanks for sharing the insight on your stay and I look forward to welcoming you back in the near future. Perhaps for a little longer this time. Brian Assistant Front...

Stayed here for a couple of night before heading off on a cruise. Really good for the reasonable price. In the heart of China town so handy if you like Asian food. Rooms was clean and comfortable, breakfast was great and staff were very accommodating.

The hotel looks relatively new and everything is in good condition. The breakfast includes cooked to order eggs and very good, barista made expressos and coffees (along with an automated machine if you prefer). It is an easy 10 minute walk to the train station and the neighborhood has many delicious and inexpensive dining options with Thai and Chinese Noodles/Dumpings...

We have stayed here a few times as it's quite central to many places. It's just around the corner from Chinatown and a short walk to Darling Harbour. We wer happy with our room which was spacious and in a quiet location on the 18th Floor. This was done promptly and without any...

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Tiger-flanked archways on Dixon Street mark the entrance to the “little Asia” of Sydney. A walk through Chinatown is a feast for the senses where aromas, tastes, sounds and visions of dancing tigers transport you to a different world. Chinatown visitors can expect a melting pot of Asian food at the neighbourhood's specialty delis and groceries. From yum cha to handmade noodles, BBQ ducks hanging in the window to Asian sweets and bakeries, there is something for all tastes. Paddy’s Markets is the largest flea market in Sydney where you can find souvenirs, clothing, gifts and fruit and vegetables at unbeatable prices. At night, Chinatown comes alive with entertainment including theatre, nightclubs and bars that are open until the early morning.
