We arrived on foot after catching the airport train to Circular Quay. The entrance is down an alley which on this Friday night was dotted with a couple of ladies of the night - interesting start to our stay! Our flight was very delayed due to a flight attendant fainting so we were initially relieved we had not made a...

A very cool boutique hotel tucked away in a alley in the centre of Sydney. The well styled rooms are quite spacious with large bathrooms, and they instantly feel like your own very cool pad in the middle of the city. Its the sort of hotel which makes you feel a bit glamourous and sexy - like you want to...

I have stayed at The Establishment a few times - I like it because of its location, its cool and Deanne (?) at Reception. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are great. I love the technology in the rooms but dont expect a view. The hotel is on a small lane in the CBD of Sydney so you dont...

I have been lucky enough to stay in this hotel 3 times over the last 2 years and I can honestly say all 3 visits were completely faultless. I love the style and decor, the bedrooms (all slightly different it would seem) are very well designed, extremely luxurious and are well equipped with toiletries, iPad and cookies! The bars have...

Awsome hidden gem in the midst of the tall city buildings. Its in an alley way but a kind of "classy" alley way. The staff where fantastic when we arrived early, they put a rush on getting us a room, I also forgot many key hygine items and they didn't hesitate to offer me complimentary items. Stayed in the smaller...

Stayed here for 1 night during week for a work trip. The accommodation entrance of the hotel itself is a little hard to find as you have to go through to an alley way to get to the concierge/reception area and you won't find your usual valet parking or taxi stand. There is also no guest parking here. Inside the...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
