The Location is excellent for easy access to Cirqular Quay, the harbor ferries, and the opera house and bridge, there's also a lot of restaurants and bars in the rocks neighborhood which is where the hotel is. It's a 15-20 minute Uber/cab to beaches, a 30 minute ferry to Manly, so good location. The staff is very good and attentive....

At the end of our 2 week Australian vacation we thought we had saved the best for last boy we were wrong What they don't tell you on the website is that there are renovations going on inside the hotel and tremendous construction outside the hotel. Setting that aside let's talk about the rooms. We were taken to a room...

For my 65th birthday my wife and I decided to spend a week at the Four Seasons in a harbor view suite. What's not to love about waking up in the morning to watch a new cruise ship dock at the Overseas Passenger Terminal in Circular Quay, with the Harbour Bridge on one side and the Opera House on the...

I stayed here a night while on a business trip with my clients. I've stayed at multiple Four Season hotels and love this one equally. As usual the accommodation itself splendid with the linen in my opinion one of the best in its class. The restaurants looked fabulous though didn't have very much time to check out. Will be back...

Looking for a a decent cocktail before dinner we headed to the Four Seasons which would usually guarantee the right level of service. We sat at the bar itself to enable us to talk to the bartender but a waiter came along and made us move to the windows where we could watch the roadworks. He ungraciously took our order...

To wake up to see the bridge and opera house every morning is very special, could have sat in the window for hours just gazing and people watching. The room was very comfortable clean and well serviced each day. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Sydney. The location and staff would be the...

The hotel is old and tired. Bathrooms and room furniture is scratched, old and out of the 70s. Shower floods bathroom as door doesn't shut. My room looks nothing like the pictures in sales material and I have onle a "side" city view instead of a full one. I haven't had a good food and beverage experience. Food takes ages...

Staying in The Rocks

Neighbourhood Profile
The Rocks
The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and sailors from the old nation. As the oldest neighbourhood in the city, the area's cobblestone streets host more than 100 heritage sites and buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney, Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi “ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The weekend markets at the Rocks are where you can find local artists' hand-made souvenirs, organic food and designer jewelry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To enjoy some of the best Australian and international contemporary art, the MCA museum is open every day and select evenings. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, be sure to save energy to dance the night away at the area's many late night entertainment venues.
