The Four Seasons is a high quality hotel in Sydney. Excellent location and service. The property needs a bit of a makeover and it is mainly geared toward the business traveller. I was welcomed with a birthday present, which was very nice. Also the room was nicely presented. We had a couple of issues though: the safebox had to be...

The Four Seasons has all the facilities to be expected from a five star hotel - sizeable heated outdoor pool, well equipped gym, free wi-fi and accessible business centre, upmarket restaurant and bars. Its location is ideal - adjacent to Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House, and close to fashionable shops and trendy restaurants. All rooms are well appointed,...

We visited Sydney for the weekend for a concert at the Opera House, and the Four Seasons was perfectly located for this purpose. It was an easy walk to Circular Quay (and the railway station there), the Opera House, The Rocks, and the CBD. The harbour view room has stunning views over the Opera House, cruise ship terminal and harbour....

Was quite possibly the best hotel I have ever stayed in. I arrived in sydney on an early morning flight, and they were able to check me into my room only an hour after arriving which was hugely appreciated. All of the staff were wonderfully helpful and extremely polite. Room service was amazing. Could not fault a single thing. Thank...

Great escape for us: tentative staff, great food. Romantic getaway booking was very spoiling, just what we needed with champagne and cakes delivered to our room every night. Grain bar was good experience with an amazing wiskey selection. I would of prefered to have an indoor pool but that is personal choice. Spa was ok, but not too pleased with...

First the positives: Circular Quay location is perfect for exploring the must-see sights of Sydney; the staff are uniformly helpful and friendly; the harbour view rooms are superb and well worth the additional charge. Unfortunately these are more than outweighed by the current building works. Outside, the road is closed for major development of a new light railway and inside...

I loved the front desk staff and room service staff. When I arrived after flying back from Cairns snorkeling in The Great Barrier Reef documenting climate change and scouting locations in Sydney for my novel in the works to become a movie in the future here in Hollywood. I was tired and exhausted after the reef tour and flying back...

Room was on the small size, but very clean and maintained. Staff were very helpful and the views of the opera house are amazing. Would highly recommend if you are visiting Sydney. Loved the bar, sitting at the window people watching on NYE.

We were in a beautiful room with both a view of the Sydney Bridge and the Opera House - room 1209. The room was spacious, had a nice closet and nice bathroom (great shower head). The street that the hotel is located on (George) has been under construction for a while. A dining room in the hotel is also under...

Staying in The Rocks

Neighbourhood Profile
The Rocks
The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and sailors from the old nation. As the oldest neighbourhood in the city, the area's cobblestone streets host more than 100 heritage sites and buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney, Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi “ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The weekend markets at the Rocks are where you can find local artists' hand-made souvenirs, organic food and designer jewelry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To enjoy some of the best Australian and international contemporary art, the MCA museum is open every day and select evenings. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, be sure to save energy to dance the night away at the area's many late night entertainment venues.
