A fantastic location near The Rocks in Sydney, within walking distance of the train station and harbour ferries to Manly etc. Interesting shops and gallery's and close to the hop on and off bus stop. Ideal for business travellers or holiday makers alike, within the heart of Sydney. The hotel is well established with a nice pool and provides an...

I just had the pleasure of staying here for four nights with a harbor view. It was spectacular. Seeing that marvel of architecture change from morning to night is something I feel truly grateful to have had the opportunity to see. The room was wonderful. The bed was so comfortable and the pillows I actually had dreams about while sleeping...

We found the hotel to be very accommodating of our somewhat exceptional needs and went out of their way to be helpful. Our room on the 12th floor faced the harbour and had a lovely view of the opera house. There were two drawbacks. First, there are elevated train tracks that run nearby and the noise from them can be...

A well run large hotel, overlooking Sydney Harbour. It is in a great position for most of Sydney's attractions. Despite it being a large hotel, the staff make you feel at home. It has the advantage for a city centre hotel of have an outside swimming pool, with a very well run pool bar.

It may not be the newest building in the city but the location is unbeatable. You have a view of the Opera House and the Circular Quay from your room window and you can walk almost anywhere that you want to in Sydney. Large rooms, very confi beds and pillows. Basic restaurant for buffet breakfast.

Great location! Loved the beds, linens, room layout, restaurants and concierge. It was so conveniently located that we could take the train to the Four Seasons. Excellent hotel to acclimate to jetlag and the time change.

Staying in The Rocks

Neighbourhood Profile
The Rocks
The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and sailors from the old nation. As the oldest neighbourhood in the city, the area's cobblestone streets host more than 100 heritage sites and buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney, Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi “ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The weekend markets at the Rocks are where you can find local artists' hand-made souvenirs, organic food and designer jewelry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To enjoy some of the best Australian and international contemporary art, the MCA museum is open every day and select evenings. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, be sure to save energy to dance the night away at the area's many late night entertainment venues.
