Stayed here as a family of 5 for 2 nights in early November. Location is excellent, literally across the road from the park & Museum Station, a few minutes walk to Chinatown. Accommodation was comfortable enough for the 5 of us and at $325 p/n represents good value for Sydney CBD. Breakfast was basic(bread for toasting, jams, butter, etc), milk,...

The Hyde Park Inn is fantastically located. The rooms are excellent. We had a delux studio apartment and it was well-equipped and comfortable. The staff were helpful and friendly. Sydney is not a cheap city for accommodation and I think the rates, although not cheap, were very reasonable in comparison to other places. We were there for 3-nights and enjoyed...

Went to Lion King, this hotel was central to every thing, the park and train were across the road, walking distance to shopping. Had a great stay room was clean and tidy, beds were super comfy, the staff were very helpful in giving directions to attractions and good shopping areas, would stay here again if in Sydney. Bonus we were...

A few days in Sydney with my adult (21 & 19) children. The service is nothing special, however, the room was large, clean and reasonably well appointed and the hotel is beautifully placed - Hyde Park out the front door, Museum station less than 100 metres away with the CBD and Darling Harbour both within a comfortable walk.

Very convenient to Museum Station, but the room I had was quiet. It was also very clean and comfortable. A simple breakfast was included, which was plain and processed, but convenient (and there are plenty of good eateries in walking distance).

Stayed for a night on business and the rooms were clean, spacious, and well equipped. While you are right in the city it was unexpectedly quiet and I could hardly hear the neighbours or hall way traffic. The parking is only a short distance to the motel but there is no drop off area out the front of the motel...

We had a 2 bedroom apartment with great views over the city. This was just what we needed - plenty of space for 3 people. Large lounge and kitchen lived up to expectations. Easy walking distance to George Street and Darling Harbour and Museum station literally across the road. No facilities and with front desk staff mainly unwelcoming it all...

Very convenience location, close to Museum station and bus stop, about 7 minutes walk to The World Square shopping center, a lot of restaurant near by. The room we had is a budget room but is clean and really quite, myself and my girlfriend had a good sleep. The only downside is one of the bath towel a bit dirty....

We chose the Hyde Park Inn for a night before a cruise, and it was great! Lovely location opposite Hyde Park and our double glazed windows looked through the leaves at the green lawn across the road. We booked two rooms next door to each other and after a rocky start with me messing up the online booking, they quickly...

I stay here often and several days at a time so I appreciate the kitchenette, however I feel it's better to buy your own than rely on the meagre victuals left by the staff. I like the outlook over the cenotaph and the park which is one of its special qualities. But for the most part it's a pretty ubiquitous...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
