This was my third stay and I have found my stays very comfortable. The rooms are clean and the staff are particularly friendly and helpful. It is ideally located close to Kings Cross and the City with a number of wonderful restaurants close by.
ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING. I WOULDN'T PUT MY ANIMALS IN THIS PLACE. Waited 13 yrs to return to Sydney and booked this "hotel" Aka "dive" on booking.com. Arrived today and after some messing about with codes and room keys, as there isn't an "actual human" to meet you, we finally got into room 104, "the Dulux". Well I almost threw up everywhere. The smell of old dirt and lack of ventilation was stomach turning. We actually didn't even check the second room because the first was enough. Tried to contact the owners and just got replies to my messages more or less saying they were watching us on the cctv and they would send a staff member with "air freshener for the room. We left before picking up an infection and found a proper place to stay. I will be highlighting this hotel with booking.com and Australian hotel authorities because this place needs closed down. …
Great location, reasonable price and big bed made this place the perfect stay for our kid free overnight getaway to meet up with old friends. There was a balcony, bathroom and all everything we needed. They even organised parking close by for a good rate. Would definitely stay again.
Very good boutique hotel. Cosy clean and friendly with very good walking access to some great restaurants nearby. Parking at the nearby station was no problem at a cost of $44 with the exit ticket from reception.
Fancy hotels for a great price right in the heart of Kings Cross station. The receptionist was super friendly and accommodating and the rooms were clean and nicely set up. Had a great experience and would come again!
Another wonderful stay at the Sydney Boutique Hotel! The rooms are comfy, the location is convenient, and the staff are the friendliest we’ve encountered. We are very much looking forward to our next visit.
Great little hotel. Can’t go past the value of this place. I stayed here for work reasons by myself and although the rooms are small, there was plenty of room for what I needed it for. The balcony was a great touch. The best we’re soooooo comfortable and the rain shower head was divine. The only downside was the noise, it is a bit loud but that’s because it’s in such a central location.
We booked SBH last year but due to lockdowns, we had to postpone. All correspondence with the hotel to change the dates was so easy and accommodating. We (2 adults and 3 kids) arrived into Sydney at 8.30am. I had already contacted the hotel to ask if we could leave our bags there rather than dragging them round Sydney until check in. This was no problem so we also used this time to check in. The staff were lovely and also took the time to give us some pointers on where to go and how to access public transport. We got a call early afternoon to advise us our rooms were ready. We booked a delux room with a balcony and a family room. Both rooms were basic but clean and fully functional for the price we paid. They have a fridge, hair-dryer and tea/coffee making facilitites. The shower was so warm and the bed really comfy. The location is amazing. It's a 20 minute walk to Circular Quay (and I was in a moonboot) or Kings Cross Station is just a few minutes walk. There's loads of restaurants, bars and clubs nearby along with a Woolies and Coles. And of course, the joys of people watching in the eclectic Kings Cross. We spent 3 nights at SBH. It was perfect for what we needed. The guys who work there are super friendly and helpful. We were made to feel very welcome. We would certainly book again. Thanks SBH!!…
Fabulous location, 20 min walk to the CBD. Rooms clean comfortable, we had a fabulous courtyard balcony. Reception staff super helpful and friendly. Will define back for our next visit. For price of room, an overall excellent stay.
The website is very misleading. The room was extremely small, with a bathroom shower that was so small it was unusable, unless you are a hobbit (although your feet would be an issue). The shower was separated from the rest of the very small bathroom by a curtain (dirty) that could not be used except as a wet cloak. The room condition was very poor with the painting and decorating obviously done by Ray Charles. There was one window, frosted and fixed (non-opening) with Crim-safe on the inside (obviously to stop the gusts throwing the selves out due to the state of the room). There was another hole in the bathroom wall that was once a window but is now a badly fitting piece of fibre sheet (however the painting of this did at least match the rest of the decoration). This room would suit a very small, poorly sighted eavesdropper, as you could hear everything that was said and done in the rooms on both sides. I was asked what time I would arrive, I have no idea why, as I still had to wait two hours for my room (apparently it was being cleaned) how it took two hours to clean a room that size is beyond me. I could have re-decorated it in two hours! All this for $350 for two nights....what a bargain!...do yourself a favour and skip it!…
