The Macleay is in a great location with easy walks to the Botanic Gardens, Opera House and Rushcutters Bay. There are fantastic cafés and restaurants near by. The room we had even had a view of the bay, staff were always friendly and helpful, the room was cleaned thoroughly and we even got to enjoy free membership to the gym...

I can only echo the preceding comments as they capture our thoughts exactly. NYE fireworks in Sydney was a bucket list item for us and the Macleay Hotel certainly made the experience all that more special. We understandably accepted that prices would be inflated but were more reasonable than the CBD hotels in addition to having a more panoramic view....

We stayed 5 nights on the 8th floor with beautiful views of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House. Couldn't ask for a better location especially for NYE. Lots of wonderful cafes and restaurants within walking distance. Really handy having a Woolworths and BWS across the street. Staff were friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the access to the terrace for the...

We hadn't stayed in the Potts Point area before, but it's been good. We paid for a Harbour Bridge view. We were in 612 which was small and musty and not quite high enough in my opinion..couldn't see the water! See 1st pic. But we did see the 9pm fireworks and for the midnight ones we had a rooftop invite(although...

Truly excellent location on the border of "colourful" Kings Cross and trendy Potts Point. We stayed for the Sydney 2015 fireworks and had a fantastic view from our window as well as roof top access. Plenty of deli shops over the road as well as Woolworths for the essentials. We did have to ask to have windows locked as we...

Thanks to the accommodating staff and location of the Hotel we saw all the highlights of Sydney and more. We would recommend your Hotel and will visit again. We were very comfortable in your outdoor area and though weather did not permit to use your pool we enjoyed the atmosphere. Thanx from Melbourne, Germany & Macedonia

Stayed for 2 nights before Christmas for a quick family visit in nearby Elizabeth Bay. The Macleay is in a great spot, close to the city and less than 10 min walk to Kings Cross station. It's nice and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of the cross. The Woolworths across the road is very handy and there are...

The hotel was clean and close enough to several eating options for breakfast or evening. Elizabeth Bay was pretty but the centre of Sydney was only 20 minutes walk direct or 35 minutes taking the coast walks. The staff were all very helpful and the price was cheaper than the town centre. Super views of the harbour and city from...

It is a really good place to stay when you travel to Sydney. It's close to the Sydney Opera House. You can walk there through the Botanic Garden or choose a train or bus. Really convenient with lots of shops and restaurants and tasty coffee shop. Clubs in the night for people who like them.
