We booked two rooms in this hotel for our family of five, and we were placed next to a couple who were smoking cigarettes in their hotel room after we specifically asked for a non-smoking room to accommodate my daughter's severe asthma. We were told by Arthur at the front desk at arrival that the entire hotel is smoke free,...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

The Swissotel is right in the CBD of Sydney. You are a less than a hundred metres from Myer's, David Jones and The Strand, so if it's city shopping you want to do, this is the place to stay. But there are many more aspects to this hotel that I liked. The room we stayed in (12th floor) was a...

Smack bang in the heart of the city, this is a great hotel. Perched on top of Myer on the corner of Pitt St Mall and Market Street, this was a sensational location. The room was large and comfortable with an excellent sized bathroom. The breakfast buffet was among the best I've had, and was included in our room rate...

Pluses 1) Location - very central; short walk to Darling Harbor and about 15 minutes to Circular Quay where you can take ferries to other destination. It's also in the middle of a busy shopping area so there's many places to grab a quick bite. 2) Room is a pretty good size; spacious enough for us and our 2 young...

We have travelled a lot to a number of countries and Swissotel Sydney on Market Street is the nicest hotel I can remember having stayed at. We had a stay at the Intercontinental Sydney a few years ago and it wasn't anywhere as nice as Swissotel. The Swissotel is so beautifully kept, and such a pleasure to stay in. The...

The hotel is centrally located on Market St opposite the State Theatre, around the corner from Sydney Tower and bustling Pitt St Mall and walking distance to the Opera House, Circular Quay and surrounds (they're a few blocks away but easy enough to get to). Other than a comfortable stay and great breakfast menu, it is the staff at the...

What a lovely retreat in the middle of the city. Lovely room, great lunch and drinks but what separated the Swissotel was the wonderful staff. Professional with smiles and a genuine care of their guests. Can't wait to stay again.

I stayed at the hotel from 8th to 14th April 2017. Room service: attentive staff and excellent food. Good choices on the menu including gluten free and lactose free. Room: comfortable bed, requested firm/foam pillows and these were very comfortable and equivalent to what I have at home. Nice furnishings, comfortable sofa and a great TV in terms of choice...

Wake up in the morning amongst the buildings- just don't open the curtains in your birthday suit as the you may scare the office workers in the buildings surrounding you. You are in amongst and gives you that feeling of living life of other major world cities whilst being able to escape once inside the hotel. Well appointed rooms and...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
