Loved the pool soooo much. Its a saltwater with a beautifal sky thingy on the roof. Spa is also nice, expected there to bea step on the left side but it didnt and i slipt in. My fault though. Reception were sooo sweet and my family were guessing what floor we were going to be on and the lovely lady played along too. When we asked for more soap they didnt even hesitate to give us a whole handful of those little bottles. RECCOMEEEMEMEMMED
Stayed at Rydges with children and found everything about the hotel excellent. The location was so convenient to Darling Harbour. An easy 5 - 8 minute walk. It was also great proximity to World Square with easy access to a supermarket. There were also lots of cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance. The hotel room was recently renovated very clean, attractive and more than met our needs. It was very useful having a clean, well appointed kitchenette. The bathroom was wonderfully clean. Having free streaming access and WIFI was valuable. It was also nice having a balcony where we could get some fresh air. Our booking included complimentary buffet breakfast and there was a great selection of delicious food. I would like to also acknowledge the Rydges staff. Every single staff member I encountered was polite, helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay more enjoyable. I would definitely look at staying at Rydges Darling Square when we next return to Sydney.…
Stayed in October 2022 and was really happy. The room was very spacious, clean and had a lot of amenities I didn’t expect. Great location and will definitely be back next time I have to go to Sydney. I did have an issue with my card at this hotel which was frustrating, esp since it worked everywhere else. That said it was close to atm so not a huge deal.
I recently stayed at the Rydges Darling Square in a Superior King Suite, and the room was amazing. The bed was really comfy, lovely walk in / roll in shower, and a really modern looking room (with a huge TV complete with free on-demand movies). All the staff I spoke to were really polite & helpful. The only reasons I've dropped a star is that the on site restaurant, whilst great with delicious food, is only open for breakfast. Great location in the CBD within easy reach of everything.
Stayed here for business and was told my tax invoice would be emailed to me upon check out but it wasn’t. 4 phone calls later management still haven’t called me back, front desk staff telling me there has been a system upgrade since and they can no longer generate a tax invoice. Will never stay here for business again.
The hotel underwent a thorough refurbishment after the branding from Radisson brand to Rydges brand. The room looks fresh, clean and nicer than my expectations. The bed was comfortable and gave me a good night sleep. I did have the room facing the apartment inside so it was completely quiet and relaxing. The staff who checked me in was attentive and friendly. Another choice of me when I need a hotel in Sydney
Very disappointed. Booked at a Rydges because they take the Stay NSW vouchers and we wanted to save a few $$ and we wanted to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. I even wrote on my booking I wanted to use my vouchers but when we checked in they inform us that they don’t accept the vouchers and no one bothered to contact me to let me know. Also as they have no info on parking on their website I looked at a 3rd party booking site which stated that the hotel will validate parking at the adjacent car park but they don’t . If I was notified of this prior to arrival we would have stayed somewhere else. Not happy
While I was booked here I didn't actually get to stay. I was booked on points through Radisson during a peak night. This was booked several months ago. Because of the rebranding they emailed me to say they could no longer honor the booking. It is unfortunate they made no real effort to make this right. Just cancel the booking or convert to cash (at a crazy rate). Anyway I thankfully was able to come up with what turned out to be a superior alternative (some stuff had opened up since I last looked). If you have a points booking or care about Radisson benefits and have a future booking with this hotel you may want to check on the impact to your reservation.
The hotel is situated in Chinatown within walking distance to the Darling Harbor. Taxis cannot drop to off in front of the hotel during rush hour because there is no place for them to pull in. Please be prepared to get dropped off across the street. This can present challenges for the elderly with luggage. The front desk staff were great. Very courteous and helpful. The room is in need of a refresh, but is spacious. Room 719 has a king bed in a separate room. The main living area has a matching couch and chair. There is a small refrigerator, cooking surface and sink.
We haven’t stayed at a radius on property before so didn’t really know what to expect. We loved the location with everything close by. Darling Harbor and China Town are right across the road. The hotel suites are spacious and they serve good breakfast. Convenience stores and and a range ofrestaurants of all types are just a short walk away and even the hop on hop off bus stops are right next to hotel. Great option for Sydney.
