Dirty, smelly hotel. Was unable to stay due to intense smell in the room. Ended up light headed, had difficulty breathing and my throat became swollen. Was unable to stay. Staff and management completely arrogant refused to refund my money due to 24hr cancellation policy which does not apply in this situation. They also did not refund the extra $100...

This was our 3rd visit and its always wonderful. The staff, location and ambience make it very special. On our last visit we were given a complimentary upgrade which was totally unexpected but very much appreciated! We love taking a step back in time to enjoy a drink in The Bar either before or after going out which makes our...

What a wonderful and inexpensive place to hold a private baby shower high tea. Seamless service, very friendly and attentive staff. Room décor was beautifully traditional, high ceilings, stunning curtains and picture frames, wall paper, fireplace, white chair covers with gold bows, white table cloth, fresh vibrant flowers, I wouldn't change a thing! Super impressed with this place, would highly...

The experience at the Sir Stamford can only described as very good with the staff going out of there way to be accommodating. The Hotel has a very relaxed and peaceful ambience which makes the experience even more enjoyable.

Close to every Sydney icon to visit, with access to all modes of transport. Convenient to the Opera House for a great night out. Plenty of eating options. Though the hotel itself is grand and historic.

This was one of the best hotel stays we have had in Australia. From check-in to check-out the service was impeccable. With old-world charm, the common areas and restaurants were pleasant. We enjoyed high tea in The Bar and returned for pre-dinner drinks here on two nights (there was a live jazz singer on both nights). We also had dinner...

The Husband treated us a night away from the kids at the Sir Stanford. The hotel was impeccable, the room clean and lovely. We had a balcony and a glimpse of Circular Quay. We had the full breakfast buffet for breakfast the next morning, which wasn't included. It was nice, but I do think maybe a tad expensive (although the...

For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
