Great hotel with traditional décor and spacious, comfortable rooms. Staff are helpful and friendly. In a very convenient location for shows at the Opera House and Dendy Cinema. Close to Circular Quay, Sydney Botanic Garden and NSW State Library

The overall experience was without fault and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. We often stay in Sydney, fortunately for us our usual accommodation was booked out as our place of choice will now be the Sir Stamford

The quality of service and accommodation was excellent. Always a pleasure to stay at the Sir Stamford. The hotel offers an environment that is warm, inviting-less like a hotel and more like a grand home.

The Sir Stamford is in an excellent location. Easy walking distance to Circular Quay and the Sydney Opera House. The rooms look dated but are very comfortable. The bathroom is spacious with a great shower. The buffet breakfast is good, with all the basic items you expect to see.

Elegant throughout. The rooms were large and fitted out with everything you would need. Bathrooms marbled and spacious. Enjoyed relaxing in the bar and the comfortable lounge with open fire crackling. Staff were fantastic. Could not do enough to make your stay any better. Public underground parking is tight but linked with the hotel. Well located for enjoying the sights...

The bathroom was huge - separate show, toilet, bath and double wash basins. I prefer to book direct but didnt in this case due to a good price via Trip Advisor. We...

Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
