Outstanding place, hospitality, staff...everything! Thank you team, it was very much appreciated! Will definitely come back for another visit! My husband and I were so impressed! Thank you again team!
We enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Langham with my family and some of our guests booked there for our wedding. The staff really looked after us from the bookings, to check in and room service. The rooms are beautiful for our getting ready wedding photography, particularly the observatory suite which we booked for our wedding stay. The whole booking process was stress free and I felt really looked after. We will definitely be back.
Great atmosphere during Lunar New Year weekend, genuine service and friendly staff. Great location for family to wonder around Sydney, The Rocks, Darling Harbour, Opera House, Harbour Bridget etc. Clean & comfortable room with terrace with water view overlooking Barangaroo, feels like a local!
Multiple incidents of poor service due to training or lack of resourcing sad this an amazing hotel crying out for some consistent service management and leadership Make sure you have multiple copies of Langham gift vouchers to check in and check out even after you have supplied to staff and slow room service
I booked six nights at the Langham Sydney based on the fact that we loved the Langham in Hong Kong. Of course, being over the New Year period, the tariff was sky high but I offset it to a reasonable rate with Qantas Points. We booked a King Harbour View Room which was very comfortable although the view was considerably spoiled by the fact that most of it was a building site. Another annoyance was that the bathroom was poorly designed and there was nowhere to put your toiletries. However, more importantly, the bed was comfortable with lovely linen and the room was serviced twice per day. Be aware that booking for breakfast or dinner at the Kitchen on Kent restaurant is essential even for in-house guests. I’ve written a separate review for Kitchen on Kent. Room service food was beautifully served and of a very high standard. We found the attentiveness of staff very commendable and everyone seemed conscious of giving guests the best experience and being very helpful. If you know and love the Langham brand, you won’t be disappointed.…
Not located on a busy street, the hotel allowed us to enjoy a quiet and relaxed holiday. Only a short walk to the harbor and there are many fabulous restaurants nearby. An indoor swimming pool is beautiful and not crowded.
Christmas Day luncheon at $450 per head and overnight stay. Absolute shambles. Checked in 11.30am. Suitcase with our champage to enjoy delivered after 3 calls, at 3.30pm. 2nd time, never again!! Absolutely spoilt our day with the rudeness of staff and the harried, stressful atmosphere.
Lovely hotel in a great location. We booked a Couples Retreat package which included couples massage and one night stay. When we arrived the hotel denied any record of the package, despite me presenting an email acknowledgment of the booking. Took until speaking to about the 4th staff member for them to finally apologise that they lost a record of this booking. They were booked out and couldn’t accomodate us. Hotel was great otherwise, but I would not recommend booking anything with the Spa in advance as they don’t seem to be well organised. If nothing like this happens, the hotel is superb (albeit not cheap). Great restaurants at Barangaroo 10 mins walk away
Loved the relaxed vibe. The interior decoration is very subtle and elegant. Enjoyed the theatrical way in which drinks were served! And the cocktails are spectacular.. not cheap but worth every penny! Their signature cocktail even comes with a rose. Overall, a very pleasant venue for an aperitif or a nightcap!
Lovely older refurbished hotel in The Rocks area of Sydney, on the waterfront with a great bay view on the water, and out of the hustle and bustle and noise of down town. Rooms are spacious, linens soft, but closet is small, and bathroom has only a small vanity for placing toiletries. Tub / shower is deep, but has hand rails. The dining area has a menu, but also a huge buffet for meals, featuring food from many countries. The lunch was impressive with nice selection of fresh fish, seafood, Italian, Japanese sushi and sashimi, Indian, and so much more. Chefs cook to your individual specifications. Wait staff attentive. There is also a formal proper afternoon tea offered. This is an upscale hotel, and patrons dress and behave as so. It is a nice pleasant environment. Kudos to Raoul, the friendly, helpful doorman!…
