We stayed at this hotel many times in the past 10 years or so whenever we visited Sydney, Australia. The location is great in CBD area and the Reception, Concierge and the The Sphere Restaurant staffs were great, they always greet you with a smile and very courteous to their guests. This time when we check-in at the hotel, they...

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Rydges. Right from the helpful doormen at the entrance, all the staff were most helpful-the concierge particularly so. My room was spacious and well appointed, and the breakfasts first class. There is also an extensive shopping mall below the hotel with everything you could need, and the location is superb-I was a first-timer...

My trip to Sydney was sort of last minute and my go to hotels were charging very high rates due to the Easter long weekend. Found this hotel online and I couldn't be more happier. Good: Rooms were clean and were of a good size. The shower and bathtub were separate. I get slightly annoyed when you have to get...

First time staying at this hotel although in Sydney very often. Location is Central but found the hotel quite clinical and a little unfriendly. Rooms were ok bathroom was not very good at all. Shower pressure was not great and water really just sprayed all over the place rather than on me, hence lots of water to mop up after...

Rooms are clean and modern. We had a family room which was great - 2 bedroom 2 bathroom - perfect for us. We were on Pitt street on the 19th floor but the traffic noise was incredibly loud. Friday night we heard loud drunken people outside yelling till 3 am, then Saturday night the night club thumping until 4 am....

Dear Kim R, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are very glad to hear the staff and breakfast was great and are glad to hear the staff offered a solution for the noise you experienced. Being in the midst of the CBD, noise is unfortunately something that we sometimes have limited control over and I...

I would say a very average breakfast on offer here. The hot breakfast had way to much out that if you took stuff from the top or even middle it was lukewarm or cold you had to dig deep to get the hot stuff. The continental breakfast however was really good the best mixed berrie compote I've had and the...

Spent a copule of nights in a family room (upgraded to 2 adjoining rooms which was great as we then had two bathrooms) in April 2017 school holidays. The room was good, with very comfortable beds, and extremely quiet for a city location given we had a room overlooking the internal section of world square (so no traffic noises). Free...

I stay at Rydges World Square on a regular basis and have always found the staff to be professional, friendly and always willing to go above and beyond. The hotel has a decent albeit not brilliant buffet breakfast but again the restaurant staff are great. Rooms are comfortable, clean and spacious. I often stay in an executive balcony room that...

Was impressed by the cleanliness and good condition of the room, bathroom and fittings. Everything worked. Only down-side was the noisy exhaust system that runs 24/7 in the bathroom (closing the door helps) and outdoor traffic noise (not extreme by any means but intrusive). Easy check-in and check-out, and good quality food. Easy access to CBD eateries. Wi-fi worked easily...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
