Loved staying at Adina Surry Hills. The positives are the rooms are large, clean and the pool is awesome. I love that it's situation on top of the hill in Surry Hills making getting around on foot a lot easier. I feel service needs a little attention. Needed to cart my own bags on a wonky trolly from the smelly hot carpark. At this price point I'd expect better. Staff steamed in short supply and were very processed based. The vibe of the hotel is outstanding and the guest were all friendly and easy to engage with. A stones throw from everything Surry Hills has to offer with easy transport links.
The room was spacious, the pool was cool but comfortable, the staff helpful. This is the better way of staying in Sydney. I have made a point of saving Adina apartments for future use and will spread teh word to family members and friends.
We stayed at the Adina in Bondi and that was fabulous and thought why not the Adina in Surry Hills (I usually book Urban Rest when staying in this area). What a mistake that was! This place is not only run down and dated, the rooms are filthy! The housekeeping team would have to have been shirking their job for a LONG time for the toilet to be in that condition and the mildew to have built up in the bathroom like that. I have been wearing my things into the shower! There was a feel of general uncleanliness throughout the apartment, which also smelt like damp and being moulded over. Kitchen cupboard handles and dishwasher and fridge doors were greasy and sticky The crockery, cutlery and kitchen utensils look like they’ve been picked up from a tip We decided it was not worth getting poisoning from the filth to cook so ate out every meal. The beds were horrible to sleep in- the mattress were like little hills in that they are higher in the middle than at the sides such that my husband actually fell out of bed when rolling over (this has never happened to him anywhere before, even on occasion when he has been drunk!) The pillows are thin and lumpy For being on such a noisy busy street in Surry Hills, the windows are not double glazed so don’t expect to get a good nights sleep. We could hear cars all night with heavy vehicles actually startling my baby wake on multiple occasions. We can even hear people talking on the street below (we were on the 4th floor) The air cons emit a foul smell- I can only imagine they have never been serviced or clean out The front door doesn’t shut properly so we actually have to heave it shut every time, making a loud bang every time. I could keep going and could not wait for our 3 night stay to end! I begrudge the one star rating I have no choice but to give it - a zero rating is the only fitting one in this instance. I can honestly not believe this place actually gets good reviews and will NEVER stay here again. In fact it has left such a distaste that I will also never be staying at any other TFE hotel again. …
First time in Sydney for long time and the accommodation made our experience very comfortable. Definitely will be there again in the near future ,and definitely will be staying at the Adina apartment 😀
Great location in Surry Hills close to all the action in Oxford Street and Domain during WorldPride. Close to a huge choice of restaurants and shops. Great swimming pool area and hot tub. Spacious quiet apartment with a great view. This was my 3rd stay and I will stay again. Cleaning was rather variable depending on the staff on the day. Wi-Fi is awful-virtually useless.
The Adina apartments are located in a fabulous area of Sydney with cafes, restaurants on doorstep and easy access to cbd. Yes, the apartment is dated and housekeeping not ideal, but it is spacious, comfortable & has a nice balcony & views.
We booked two, two bed aprtments for a long weekend with family and friends. Both apartments very well appointed and were serviced each day. Nicely decorated and beds comfy. Staff were accomodating. Pool looked good, didn't swim but temperature felt nice it also had a spa which was also a good temp. Nice private pool and entertainment area surrounded by trees. Plenty of places to eat and drink around the area and the light stop was only about a 5 minute walk. Highly recommend
we were 2 'senior' couples looking to extend our stay in Sydney for one night - location was great as we were able to walk to the tram station and travel downtown easily. Apartment was quite clean and had everything we needed.
Amenities provided keep getting cut back by Adina. Bathroom amenities are scarce. Towels were dreadful and only 1 pp per day... a couple of little changes would make a huge difference. Staff were lovely. Location is excellent, right in the heart of Surry Hills with excellent food options at the doorstep.
Was a great place to stay and will stay again. The location was great for the attendance of the ALLIANZ stadium. I wish I could have had room service when we got in late instead just room coffee. Recommend to anyone....especially families.
