This pub is one of the oldest in Australia and is always a good place to visit for a beer or food as well. I have had lunch here 5 times in the last year and always the food and service to good. At the last two visits I have had the spaghetti with crab and the pork and fennel...

We were visiting from Vermont and needed a hotel for the week with walking access to the City Center. The room was great. Comfortable bed, clean shower, lots of room and very quiet! It was an easy walk to Circular Quay, Darling Harbour, The Opera House. The Rocks section of the city was fun to explore. the food was delicious...

I've been coming here for over 20 years. Now I live in Melbourne I don't get here nearly often enough. It never fails to live up to its reputation. The Lord has been a micro brewery long before it was trendy. Three Sheets ale is one of my favourite beers in the world. Good food, too. Love the ploughman's.

I went to the brassiere last night with a group. 1 word. fantastic. the food was simply beautiful, the fish curry was a highlight, others loved their steaks. Could not fault anything. Definitely a must visit location in Sydney.

Based on the recommendation of a few friends, I made this the first stop on a trip to Sydney. I was not disappointed. The beer was excellent, the pub environment pleasant and the staff friendly. I look forward to going back!

We went here to meet our niece and her husband. It had a good selection of local beers and the food choice was good and not expensive. Popular with some big parties, well worth a visit. A few places outside to sit as well.

This claims to be the oldest pub in Sydney with an uninterrupted license. There are several pubs that claim to be the oldest. But each one uses different parameters. That is okay. It just means there are more to sample. This one is high up in The Rocks so be prepared to do some climbing. Close to the old barracks,...

This place hasn't changed much over the years. Still serving a good selection of in house brewed beers to suit all palates and a good bar menu. We dined in the upstairs Brasserie which had an excellent menu and a good wine list. We happened to be there on Tuesday which is curry night and they were delicious. Service both...

Stopped in for a bit to eat and found the kitchen closed at 230pm. That isn't a complete surprise, but just be aware that if you're coming in at off times you will be limited to meat pies, bread, cheese, and other basic bar snacks. They're all fine, but not much of a meal. The beers they brew on premises...
