We stayed at the Wattle hotel for three nights, with our three children. We booked the Family Room, with additional charge of $29.00 for an extra bed. Although the room is a bit dated, we had a lovely time. In the middle of the city, enough space to move around. Beds were good, bathroom was spacious. Okay, we might have...

I am disgusted appealed and extremely let down by my stay at Sydney wattle hotel. The bed was uncomfortable and felt like it would fall if you moved or sat on it, and made a loud cracking noise when ever I moved, I felt very unsafe; when I approached staff about the situation I was told that it's all attached...

I wouldn't recommend this place at all, totally bad experience with the booking, Asked for requests and never got what I paid for, and this place still charged full price for services never met. Reception quite rude over phone and non helpful, have stayed here before in the past and well didn't really find the rooms quite up to scratch,...

I booked a family room for two nights, the room was large and clean. It has some dated fixtures, but everything was serviceable. Kitchenette was a handy addition, own balcony was a nice touch. Was a 5 minute walk from where I was working. So very convenient location. Big TV, modern AC a plethora or restaurants at your doorstep.

Spent a few days in Sydney before heading out on a tour of Uluru and Alice Springs. The friend I was travelling with was staying nearby and decided to book this hotel. I almost didm't when I read the reviews but was pleasantly surprised. The rooms are old style and basic but my room was really big with high ceilings...

Went to a work function and decided to book a night at Wattle Hotel to save us traveling back home after a late night in the city. We booked the penthouse the view was beautiful but for the money you spend I would recommend you fixing several things so you have guests that come back and stay again. The entrance...

My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights while traveling Oz. We chose it due to being the cheapest for the location, and you get a great deal for the price. I was worried after reading previous negative reviews on TA, but the owners must have made some changes as now the rooms did not match the previous description....

I agree with every criticism of this hotel. We also booked the penthouse. What a joke!! It was a room ontop of the roof that is clearly falling apart. I would strongly suggest that the hotel owners spurge and buy Exit Mould as the ceiling was covered in mould as was the shower. For $150 for one night this hotel...

Staying in Darlinghurst

Neighbourhood Profile
Darlinghurst
Home of the small bar revolution in Sydney, Darlinghurst has more bars per capita than any other suburb. Themes range from American whiskey bars and 1950’s theme bars to hidden bars requiring secret passwords. Oxford Street is the "Gay Capital" of Australia, where gay and lesbian-friendly venues feature “diva shows” and dancing until the morning. Vintage lovers flock to Crown Street, and small designer boutiques can be found along Victoria and Bourke Streets. Dining in Darlinghurst is a gastronomic adventure. Food from all over the world is on the menu, from American ribs to tapas, sushi to gelato and every ethnicity in between.
