The room was clean and quiet at night. great location to darling harbour and other city attractions the only qualm I have is the television needed to be more central to the bed .the female receptionist always greeted us when we came and went from the hotel which is great .

Clean, tidy and basic. Good points: Price, location, plenty of accessible power points. Negative points (mostly minor niggles rather than any significant issues): We had a room overlooking Clarence St (2nd level) and street noise was significant (windows wouldn't or couldn't be closed properly), sheets were too small for the bed (they came unravelled far too easily), kettle cord too...

We had an overnight stopover in Sydney and chose this hotel because of its central position. Paid high rates but realise that all accom in Sydney is overpriced. Unfortunately our roadside room was very noisy early in the morning when traffic started so didn't have a great sleep. free wifi should be a standard in all hotels - don't expect...

Great value, close to everything, clean & tidy hotel room. The windows weren't the best & did let in a bit of city noise, but for the location, cost & what you get; I was more than happy. Reception staff were friendly & helpful.

Stained carpet, smelly and the vinyl peeling off the bedhead & needs replacing. We were given a disable room which wasn't requested and there was no bath which when you are relaxing a bath would of been nice. The only positive was the girls/guys on the front desk were friendly and helpful in getting us taxis.

There was rotten carpet around the bathroom door, rest of carpet was filthy and stained, dirty tea cups and spoons, ripped and damaged bedbeads, lots of street noise due to windows not sealing shut properly and hard, uncomfortable pillows which resulted in very little sleep.

Location is excellent for this hotel and if, like us, you'd rather spend money on activities and eating out, then staying here makes sense. If you're looking for a romantic spot, well this isn't for you. Despite the small entrance way and lack of foyer, the 24 hour reception staff's helpfulness made up for it. The rooms are small but...

Road noise, street maintenance and guest movements on the hotel floor was accepted for the environment. What was not acceptable was the state of cleanliness of the bathroom. Cracked hand basin, hair present on the floor. Shower floor was oily and covered in gel/soap scum. Shower base showed evidence of only being wiped with a towel that left smears. For...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
