$80 a night, double room. Fan. Shared bathroom. It's a really unspectacular room, but it is clean, quiet and spacious. If you want a cheap room with a double bed in a great part of Sydney, go here. Very friendly helpful staff.

I love this hostel. Great staff, great area and you still get a decent night sleep unlike other places in the city. The park at the end of the road is my favourite place to sit, relax and let the world pass me by.

We booked this place based on its advertisement of free parking. However, upon arrival it turned out the parking was only on the street and parking restrictions had recently changed: everything was two hours except one side of nearby laneway. Everything else was as stated, however could have done with updating. Very noisy at night, so we could hear people...

Hi Rheanna Thanks for your review and we have good news. For years, there has been free parking next to our hostel, then unfortunately the local council came and changed this. We have appealed and been successful - the free parking slots are back. We are really sorry you were inconvenienced during this time but unfortunately it was out of...

Glebe Point YHA is my favourite of all the hostels I've stayed in. I have now stayed here three times in total at their excellent weekly rate which includes premium WiFi. The hostel is clean, the beds are comfortable, each individual bed has its own plug and light and the kitchen is of reasonable size. The hostel is clean and...

This hostel was lovely, chilled atmosphere, clean and excellent staff. The housekeeper was very friendly and constantly cleaning. Reception staff were always welcoming, especially Chris and Martha who made the place feel like home. A real home away from home, excellent facilities and comfy rooms- will definitely be back again :)

We really enjoyed out stay at Glebe YHA. It was the first YHA my boyfriend and I stayed at and they helped us organise our journey up the east coast, recommending place to visit and things to do. Craig the manager is an absolute character and just overall bubbly person. We were going to stay at Glebe for a week...

The YHA is a nice hostel with lovely staff at the front desk! I stayed in a private room when I first got to Australia in 2013 and the came back for two nights in a dorm room in 2014. The private room was pretty small, especially considering the price, the dorm room however was great. The kitchen is reasonably...

I had to wait for my house when I booked my share bedroom for 2 weeks. I had never lived in a hostel before and I admit I was a little worried about it. Fortunately it was a good surprise for me. The building is very clean and well ordered. The helpful, friendly staff organise something to do everyday such...

We booked the place just 30mins before arriving yha due to an overbooked accommodation we had book prior to our arrival in Sydney. Was in total bad luck because despite us successfully booked for 2 girls via booking.com , upon arrival, we were notified that there was some technical gliche and they didn't had any bed for us. However, the...

This YHA is a little way out of Sydney central and in a very pleasant area called Glebe. There is a relaxed 'village' feel to the area and a good selection of shops, cafes and so on. To get into the city there are a number of choices. You can walk into the centre (Circular Quay) in about 3/4 of...

Staying in Glebe

Neighbourhood Profile
An inner city suburb along the water, Glebe has a deep-rooted sense of cultural history and heritage. It originated as a semi-rural resort for the well-to-do, but has transformed into a student-centric melting pot. Visit Glebe Point Road for ethnic cuisine as standard as Mexican, Indian, Italian and Chinese, or as diverse as Spanish, Bavarian, Polish, Czech and Lebanese. You will find that Glebe is accepting of the eccentrics and aboriginals that roam the streets, integrating students and people of all economic statuses into the multi-cultural fabric that distinguishes this suburb. Glebe Foreshore is a great destination for a leisurely walk along the Bay, and the Saturday market is a great scene for bargain hunters.
