Stayed here with my family (3 year old and 1 year old), and a large group. There is only one working washer and dryer in the entire hotel. It costs $8 total to wash and dry. Get your coins from the front desk in the morning because in the evening they are limited. There's no phone in the room, no...

I came with a big family. Eventhough the room is not big but it is still comfy. But this place is quite dangerous at night. This place is close to bar. One night, we heard people quarrelled outside the window.receptionist also not recommend anyone to go out after 10.30pm.anyway,the room is clean and they offer reasonable price.

I stayed at this hotel last year, it’s by no means the best hotel I have ever stayed in, but you do get what you pay for. The rooms were lovely and airy, washrooms were adequate and perfectly spacious bearing in mind they are 'wet rooms'. The location is fine, a short walk from Kings Cross station and a lovely...

The hotel met our expectations except that bathroom was dirty - there was lots of easily removable mould over the walls, toothpaste marked on the shelf and remnants of bodily fluid of some sort on the back of the door. A good clean down with disinfectant would have remedied this. As a result we found it necessary to wear jandals...

I had stayed here on a number of occasions when it was named Formule 1 because of its proximity to my where I hire a car, so when I knew I had to visit Sydney I looked it up and after some difficulty found it under its 'new' name and checked it out. Yes, it looked the same, and still...

Our family stay at Ibis hotel east Sydney in last Feb. Same as many budget hotei of Ibis, room is small just enough for a bed and small table. The good thing of this hotel is the beautiful view of Sydney Habour from your window. Taxi from hotel to George street is about 15AUD. You can also find bus stop...

Staying in Darlinghurst

Neighbourhood Profile
Darlinghurst
Home of the small bar revolution in Sydney, Darlinghurst has more bars per capita than any other suburb. Themes range from American whiskey bars and 1950’s theme bars to hidden bars requiring secret passwords. Oxford Street is the "Gay Capital" of Australia, where gay and lesbian-friendly venues feature “diva shows” and dancing until the morning. Vintage lovers flock to Crown Street, and small designer boutiques can be found along Victoria and Bourke Streets. Dining in Darlinghurst is a gastronomic adventure. Food from all over the world is on the menu, from American ribs to tapas, sushi to gelato and every ethnicity in between.
