Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the meriton Suites. the apartment was very clean and the bed and pillows the most comfortable I've ever slept on. Only negative was that I was not informed that you had a pool. I would definitely stay there again. Regards Betty and Jack Nicolaou
Staff were helpful and the room was clean and had everything I needed - also great position for exploring Sydney The staff looked after my bags both before and after check in/out. The pool was a great place to visit after a day or walking
It was horrible, the room smelt werid. Upon checking in we were on time for 3:00 pm. We were told that our room wasn’t ready yet and we will be called shortly. An hour later no call. We had to go back to the receptionist room sat there for half an hour, waiting… until the man at the door went out of his way to check if it was ready yet! Luckily for him we made it to our room. And hour and half late. I was only staying for the night, then for tomorrow to have to check out at 10:00am we should have been allowed to stay till 11:30am. As this is as ment to be a relaxing get away night but it was nothing but stress!
Absolutely fabulous. There was six of us. We had a two bedroom suite and a studio. Everything was there that we needed. We couldn’t have asked for better service from reception and our unit and studio were very clean.
I thought the hotel was great bit aged but comfortable, staff were very accommodating. The fact you can leave your car there until 5pm after you bave checked out was great meant we could spend more time exploring old haunts,
This is our second time around starting at Meriton. We booked the high rise apartment this time . Room space was excellent, view was beautiful and overall stay was convenient and pleasant. But amenities in the room were run down - dryer did not work , washing machine was very old and so was the dishwasher. For a 6 day stay only 3 dishwashing tablets were provided and had to request a hair straightener. Cleanliness was not great as the room had a vomit smell throughout our stay - even when the reception was notified- someone did come in and sprayed a air freshener, which frankly is of no use as no further cleaning was done . Pillow cases and bedsheets were stained and room not vacuumed properly !!! Bathroom would also do with a proper clean up . If the amenities were well provided the stay would be worth the cost ! Because there are other apartments on the same street with better amenities. …
My family and I stayed in a two bedroom apartment for three nights. We arrived around midday to drop our bags off at the hotel, the hotel reception told us that the room wasn’t ready, and they would call us when it was. By 3:30pm (after check in time) we hadn’t been called, we returned to the hotel, waited about 30 mins in line and then we’re finally checked in. The cleanliness of the apartment was appalling. The lamps in the bedrooms were not plugged into the power point. Which meant we had to move the beds to access the power points. Disgusting is an understatement. You think if staff were going to cut corners cleaning like that they’d make sure their didn’t need to go moving furniture to gain access to power points. Whilst the hotel appears to have 5 lifts in total, only one seemed to be operational. We waited over 10 minutes multiple times trying to make our way from the Lobby to our floor and visa-versa. In the past I’ve booked Meriton apartments because they were typically clean and a safe option. I’ve now had more bad experiences with this chain than good. Stay elsewhere…
We booked an altitude one bedroom room - which we expected would have district views west and over Darling harbour . We believed that was what was depicted in the room description . So upon checkin and arriving in our room we were disappointed to have a room on level 45 with views towards the east and looking at other skyscrapers - No district or water views . We rang reception who explained that there was no guarantee of water or district views even if you pay more for the higher level rooms and if wanted such views we should have put it in the special requests box on booking form. After some discussion and a 30 minute wait we were moved to level 55 with district and water views - the view was mesmerising and really worth the wait . The room was spacious because we were moved to a 2 bedroom suite and they locked the second bedroom and bathroom. The suite was spacious ,clean but very tired - lots of chopped edges etc . The bed was very comfortable but the mirror in the ceiling over the bed was strange ( in both rooms we saw). The pool area was very good . The location was convenient closer to Central than TheQuay. Conceive & house keeping were excellent . Overall we enjoyed our stay - and don’t forget to request a suite with water views !…
The hotel location was excellent, and is value for moneys, the hotel was very clean and great staff very friendly, the room had lots of space with every thing you needed. Near by you had train and buses to get around the city.
The fast and friendly staff was a great introduction to the Meriton, it continued with the well-appointed room. Close to fantastic food and tram line at your back door. This is somewhere we will stay again.
